Family Feud game show

Posted: Nov 11, 2011

Have to share.  Saw the funniest thing on late-night rerun.

Couldn’t sleep so was channel surfing when I stopped on a rerun of the Family Feud game show.  It was at the beginning when the host was asking everyone what they did.  The host came to a gentleman and asked him.  The man hesitated and did not answer.  So, the host asked again.

Finally the man said with a sheepish smile:  I own a medical transcription company in Alpharetta, Georgia, where my “girls” work from home.

I found it funny that he hesitated and really did not want to say that he owned a medical transcription company – like he thought the audience would boo him or something.

In case you are wondering, this family lost.

Do you know how old the show was? I wonder if the company is still in business.

I saw that too - shipwrecked

It's a recent show, since Steve Harvey was the host - he's fairly new.

The Game's Over Mr President - Your Team Lost. End Your Trump Temper Tantrum, Show Some DignityJan 03, 2017
What’s Barry’s game? That’s the question many of President Obama’s basketball opponents have asked over the years as Barack hurtled himself around the court in the final minutes of a match. From all accounts he could be a mean, nasty sonofabitch in those final few seconds, especially if his team was losing. The answer to my question is thus self-evident: to win at all costs. That ethos made Obama a very competitive basketball player, and a very effective politician. But it ...

Need Ideas For A Family Reunion Family Tree Display Or Art Or????Nov 20, 2010
My grandma's side of the family has a biannual family reunion and it's a pretty big party.  Every reunion a different families "hosts" the reunion.  Hosting generally means they pick a location for everyone to gather, book the facility and caterers, send out the newsletter, and contact local motels and campgrounds for special group rates, etc.  Then of course their in charge of the events at the dinner like giving prizes for who traveled the farthest, the oldest, the you ...

Did Anyone Catch The Beck Show? Not His Usual ShowNov 13, 2009
If anyone didn't catch it, I'd encourage you to watch it this weekend.  It wasn't his usual show that everyone hates.  He had an audience (not sure if there were any white people, mostly African-American) and they were talking about issues and problems.  Most of them voted for Obama and they discussed issues going on.  It was very interesting. One guy showed Obama where he grew up in the Harlam and what it was like for him growing up.  It was just a very g ...

Video GameNov 11, 2009
Have you heard about the video game they're putting out where you can be the terrorist killing other people (I didn't catch the name)?  I think it's disgusting.  My husband thought I was joking when I told him.  I think they ought to ban it.  Terrorists have bombed our naval vessels (USS Cole, I believe), the WTC garage, flew planes into the WTC towers and have done countless other things against us.  And some ________ (we're not allowed to swear so I ...

Game Change On HBOMar 12, 2012
I watched this film on HBO last weekend.  Somebody obviously does not like Sarah Palin!!!  They certainly made her to appear very ignorant and stubborn with campaign manager, Steve Schmidt.  Evidently John McCain did not like they way they portrayed Palin on film either.  He says he does not plan on viewing this film, as it is an assault on her character.  I am certainly not a fan of Sarah Palin, but feel disturbed after watching this.  This just tears her apart -- ...

I have an android tablet and am looking for suggestions for games to play while traveling - I am going to be flying long distances and sitting in airports, so I would like something to pass the time.  Any suggestions?  I like board games, solitare soduko, etc., I would like to try something different - I am intrigued by the "escape" kind of games, but have not downloaded any.  I could like a miniature golf in HD maybe?  Any suggestions would be welcome. ...

Book Review - Game ChangeFeb 10, 2010
Finally got my hands on a copy of Game Change. I am really enjoying the behind the scenes look at the last pres campaign.  All of the candidates are presented as real human beings - flaws and all.  Interesting look at conflict between Biden and Obama, the whole Edwards fiasco and Hill and Bill. And, if you are troubled by Palin's inadequacies now, you will not be comforted by reading this book.   ...

From the N.Y.
