Instead of Using the 6K you have raised to get a headlight conversion done on your van, perhaps you could open an IRA or a money market fund or get a motel room for a few nights. You can open an IRA with $500. You also have enough for first/last and security deposit on a rental with money left over and 6K is more than a lot of people with jobs and roofs over their heads have in the bank and you keep asking for more money. You say you are uneducated and have no skills but your MT skills translate into a lot of clerical jobs and you could register with a temp agency or try to get something part-time with a local medical facility in medical records, reception or appointment scheduling. There are food delivery jobs that pay minimum wage plus any tips you receive, Pizza Hut or Jimmy John's are two that come to mind. I shouldn't be judgmental, I know, but I read your blogs every day and you go from one crisis to the next and all of it requires more money, which you expect other people to provide. Your supporters have been incredibly generous and you are fortunate, but 14 more months living in your car is a long time. I'm sorry I can't be sympathetic (I was at first). There are a lot of homeless people who have had to forfeit cars, pets, etc. in order to survive and don't have the luxury of Go Fund Me. I live paycheck to paycheck, as do many of us, and I'd love to have money for a gym membership, pets and some of the other things people are enabling you to maintain. I wish someone would send me $6000 for living expenses.
