Filed bankruptcy, husband leaving me, another woman in the picture. I don't know if I can take it. I don't know what to do.

Your husband leaving you will turn out to be your blessing. Hes a cheater, and she can have him. It will be hard, but your a woman. You can handle this, with dignity and pride intact. Hold your head high and just know that a door got closed, but theres a nice breeze coming through the window!

I certainly will pray for you. I have been in desperate situations, too, and I have found that if one can pray and just hang on one more day, many times things will shift. Do you have anyone who can help you? Do you have friends? A pastor? A therapist? Please do not consider suicide. Someone said that "suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem." Please reach out for help. If you are near a big city they often have crisis lines and can hook you up with counseling. I will be praying for you. Please don't lose hope!

A new day will dawn and you will see that you are in a much, much better place. If your husband is a cheat, you are better off without him. If he stayed, you would NEVER be able to trust him. You are worth so much more than him. I will pray for you that you find the strength you most assuredly possess! Try to replace sad, negative thoughts with happy, positive ones. Think of the positives that will come of this, and there will be many. You can do it! God will watch over you. He always does. Please stay strong. You have us for support, but it would help if you could get some one-on-one face time with someone close to you as well.

As impossible as it may seem that you could weather these storms, it is possible because with God all things are possible. Also praying that He blesses you with peace you never thought possible. I'm divorced and my advice is to educate yourself now about finances, and what to do to get alimony. You don't actually have to give your husband a divorce. It's all up to you. I hope you will find someone like a minister or counselor (or friend) to help you emotionally and a lawyer to help you financially. I played nice during my divorce and asked for nothing. I got half of the selling price of my house and the furniture and that was it. Praying for you that God will give you the strength that you need. Whatever you do, just take 1 day at a time and you'll make it thru.

Even if this number doesn't work, I am sure if you google you will find a national suicide hotline that you can get through to. All of us who have responded wish the best for you and can be a source of support, and we are here for you. However, none of us are probably trained to talk somebody out of a suicide (at least I'm not), so please promise you will call a professional if you ever start feeling that way again.

You are going to be shocked to learn how many people will find comfort and benefit in how you overcome such a hurtful experience. I hope you become a counselor in your church or get a degree in social work. Godly Christian advisers are badly needed in this world.

We are at a very crucial point with our finances. I have had swelling in my ankles and feet and legs as well as my abdomen. Have gained an awful amount of weight suddenly. My dad is having an angiogram on his leg this Thursday to see if they can put stents in to open blockages and get some blood flow back to his foot which has an ulcer that is getting worse and will only get better if they can increase circulation to the area. I do reports for a big hospital in the midwest and see a lot of cancer reports, anorexia, car accidents and sometimes I just feel so overwhelmed by it that I have to stop and pray for the people in the report.
