When I said that unfettered immigration was the same as outsourcing transcription

Posted: Dec 31, 2015

You know the one:  They take jobs Americans won't do or don't want.  Of course, I knew this old wive's tale (mainly promoted by liberals, but swallowed by people who should have more sense) was untrue.

Follow the link.  And today, there are reports about 100,000 more H2 work permits that administration is printing up even as we speak, far beyond the statutory limits.  Just one more example of the stunning ways in which this administration flouts the laws.

This article exposes the exploitation of the H2 program - or the "legal" side of unfettered immigration.  The impact of the flood of illegal immigrants is even worse.

The Republicans who refuse to fund those trying to enforce the laws? Your article goes into detail about how the corporations take great pains in going around the law. So that is okay with you? Why have laws if we do not have the funding to enforce them?

Reference, please. - nm

Is it the administration's fault that some corporations...sm - VTMT

are circumventing the law? The visas you should be worried about are the H1B visas for skilled employees. Education has become such a low priority in a great portion of the US that corporations need to draw from other better educated countries to fill their positions. Wake up people!

Um, hello? Yes, it is. The corp's couldn't do this - if the "replacements" weren't here!

Holy-moley! Anything to keep from seeing the administration's failures, eh what?

The administrations VICTORIES far outweigh - its failures

All grown up intelligent people know this.
"All grown up people know" this is not a serious post - borders on the delusions of an inciter
[ In Reply To ..]
"All grown people know this"...my post is accurate.
Actually, this administration has had very few "victories" - hence everything by executive action.
[ In Reply To ..]
Executive action and promulgation of thousands of "rules" by executive agencies such as the EPA. In terms of domestic accomplishments, these things are not considered "victories" and are easily reversed.

And on the international front no one can call Obama a success.
..and who do you think will reverse those domestic victories? - Dream on!
[ In Reply To ..]
.
Executive actions are NOT "victories" - they are evidence of ineptitude - and weakness in achieving legislation.
[ In Reply To ..]
Even when he had a majority in both houses (a super-majority in the Senate), Barack Hussein Obama was an abject failure in achieving his objectives legislatively, except for the reprehensible "Affordable" (Choke!) Care Act, and even that was no victory, passing as it did in the dead of night, behind closed doors, unread by most who voted for it, and for which Barack Hussein Obama was unable to muster a single vote from even ONE of the several more liberal Republican Senators.
Which is why history will note Pres. Obama as - one of our best Presidents

What victories? - 18 TRILLION IN DEBT
[ In Reply To ..]
ISIS is the JV team? Al-Quaeda is on the run? Climate change is the biggest threat to the world? Green energy failures such as Solyndra? Shovel ready jobs that never materialized? 18 trillion in debt, more than double since he took office 8 years ago? Remember he was going to fix that and then doubled it? The unaffordable care act-if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor lie? It will save the average family $1500 a year lie? Immigration and HB1 Visas-ask Disney employees how they like training their replacements. How do you as an MT like training your replacement? Where is the executive order to stop that? Millions of people unemployed who are not counted anymore? Millions who had insurance but no longer can afford the "affordable care act" yet, an illegal can walk into a hospital and get free medical care, such as undocumented dialysis patients? Yet, Americans have to pay for the same medical treatment or file bankruptcy? Skyrocketing student loans? Unable to work with Congress? Heck, ask MTs how they like training their replacements? What policies of Obama over the last 8 years has made your life better?

I agree with your statement in part... - Truthhurts

"Education has become such a low priority in a great portion of the US...."

BUT it's because the focus has been on everyone getting a college education AND because the colleges don't seem to teach skills that can be used for employment. They seem to focus on social policies and progressive rules of Cloward-Pivens and liberal professors all focusing on left-wing politicking.

Ask any college student where a certain country is, who is the VP, any history of this country and especially, any critical thinking skills. Most of them can't give a correct answer. But throw a petition at them, whether real or fake, and they'll jump to sign it.

This has crippled our country's youth and falls right into the fantasy of reasoning for needing H1B visas....but in reality, it shows us how much our population has been dumbed down by this administration and those running the different government programs....after all, they graduated from college. :)

Don't you think the failings of college students...sm - VTMT

to know the things you mentioned are mostly the fault of the adequacy of their secondary education? Who has cut funds for education? Not the democrats. My concern is the many children who do have the desire to learn and are doing their best cannot further their education because of the huge economic burden that is required.

Have you been near a college lately? - I don't think that is true at all

[ In Reply To ..]
I live in a college town, about 30,000 school. For the most part the students I meet are pretty serious about their work. Most I meet are out in the work force, working while attending school, but yet, still living several hundred miles from home. They are politically engaged--not all liberal; however, my Bernie button starts most of the best conversations, so those are liberal.

There are some who are here for the "party" as there always has been. Football tailgating, the weekend and drinking their way through, but those kids aren't signing petitions.

More Bain OutsourcingAug 10, 2012
For those who like myself who thought the issue of Bain outsourcing was back in the past a few years back, here is a current story. This company in Freeport, Illinois, is shipping the factory to China and the employees have been spending their last few months training their Chinese replacements. I think that is so cruel. Interesting comments too - "Mitt Romney saying 'I have nothing to do with Bain's management' is like Pablo Escobar saying 'I don't grow coca bush ...

Outsourcing, Offshoring Debate Jun 26, 2012
This article explains how it is not just offshoring that is detrimental to our jobs.  Outsourcing jobs within the US is becoming increasingly common and leads to lower wages and fewer people with benefits.  Sounds like MTSOs accepting work from big MT companies and then hiring ICs to do the work at low wages with no benefits. ...

Hillary Praised Outsourcing To India And Got $5 MillionJul 28, 2016
Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign is attempting to silence a pro-Trump super-PAC called "Rebuild America Now." Conservatives Scott Walker Vs. Ted Cruz On OutsourcingMar 23, 2015
I can't figure out why Ted Cruz is the hot ticket, right now, over Scott Walker, considering they're so similar on their views - what does he have Scott Walker doesn't other than "hot-topic" ethnicity?
