Before you go to the website, let me offer a bit of a disclaimer. The information here is posted by Martin Shkreli, who made headlines with his massive increase in the price of Daraprim from $13.50 a tablet to $750.
(Interesting side note: High school students made Daraprim in their lab for $2 a tablet, but it's too easy to jump on this without thinking it through. They didn't have to go through any trials, get the drug approved, manufacture it under tight quality control, ship it, etc., so it's just interesting information, that's all. Here's the link to that article: http://www.sciencealert.com/students-have-made-martin-shkreli-s-750-drug-in-their-chem-lab-for-just-2 )
The pharma industry self-righteously villified and disowned Shkreli.
Now he is tired of being "the face of pharmaceutical greed" and has decided to air the industry's dirty laundry. On this website, he has compiled a list of some of the very same practices that other companies have engaged in.
Here's the disclaimer: Some of the information here has been verified, some has not, but none has been disproven or refuted and, more importantly, the pharmaceutical indstry trade group PhRMA has refused to comment on it even though most of the companies mentioned here ARE members.
The point being, there probably is more fire here than smoke, and there's reason enough to believe that pharma is fleecing Americans to a significant degree and the situation warrants serious and thorough investigation.
