Wonder if Pakistan is doing it to save face with the USA (since we do send $$ in aid to their country)or doing it to save AQ from USA.
Pakistan Arrests 40 In Abbottabad With Possible al-Qaeda Connections
Pakistani forces have apprehended 40 people in Abbottabad, the city in which al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden was killed. The 40 are suspected of having links with al-Qaeda. The U.S. was not involved in the operation, according to Open Source Center.
Pakistan's Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI), military intelligence and Abbottabad police were said to be the two agencies involved in Thursday's mop-up operation. Officials have referred to it as the 'second phase' of the operation that killed bin Laden.
Meanwhile protests against the killing of al-Qaeda leader continued across the country. About 1,500 supporters of Pakistani religious party Jamiat-e-ulema-e-Islam protested in Quetta Friday saying the holy war against the U.S. would continue, and that "the blood of Osama will give birth to thousands of other Osamas,” according to Dawn. Protests were also seen across Pakistani cities of Peshawar, Rawalpindi and Hyderabad.

In the statement, Al Qaeda also called on the people of Pakistan - 'where Sheik Osama was killed' - to rise up in revolt against its leaders. It also said that an audio message Bin Laden recorded a week before his death would be issued soon.
The disturbing confirmation is likely to ease the pressure off the President who faced harsh criticism over his refusal to release the pictures of Obama's bloodied corpse.

Violent clashes broke out around the world today as thousands of supporters of Osama bin Laden took to the streets to protest at the Al-Qaeda leader's death.
While many protests took place across the Muslim world, the most extraordinary - and violent - took place in London, where hundreds of supporters have gathered at the U.S. embassy to stage a mock 'funeral service' for the slain terror leader.
The city - dubbed London-istan - was described earlier this week as a major recruiting ground for Al Qaeda.
Dozens of police officers struggled with protesters who tried to storm the embassy with radicals carrying placards proclaiming that 'Islam will dominate the world' and branding U.S. leaders 'murderers'.
'It is only a matter of time before another atrocity - the West is the enemy,' Abu Muaz, 28, from east London, said.
