One last time on Pravda. FYI: PRAVDA.RU is the Russian newspaper.

Posted: Jan 11, 2013

I went to foreign newspapers, clicked on Russia, clicked on Pravda. The link is the following:

http://english.pravda.ru/world/americas/19-12-2012/123230-weapons_usa-

This is the way I have always viewed most foreign newspapers, not just Russian papers. The link is another story called Weapons in the USA: Hello from 1791 but on the right side is the opinion piece from the article I posted the other day.

Just to show you that the articles I posted are from the RUSSIAN PRAVDA, here is the "about" page. I'm pretty sure the telephone number is not American, unless we have started using difference codes.

Dear readers,

Pravda.Ru welcomes your feedback. We always want to know your opinion about the website and its content. If you have an opinion to share with other readers of Pravda.Ru you can always send it to us for publication in the Opinion section or on our English forums.

If you have an article that you would like to share with the rest of the world and see it published on the main page of Pravda.Ru, please feel free to make a submission by sending an attached Word file of your article.

a totally different rag.

I'm sorry, but that's incorrect - sm

In a post below I let you and others know that Pravda On Line is not associated with the former Russian state newspaper, dissolved in 1991, by the same name.

Even if you didn't like the link I provided, you could still research this independently. It's not your fault the website uses that name. I just thought it was worth clarifying, since even media figures seemed to misunderstand.

BT, look at that last sentence inviting anyone to post an - article. This isn't "the Russian newspap

it's some trashy online rag--not a journalistic soruce. At that, the article originally referenced was from Pravda On-Line, another trashy rag.

Neither is the newspaper Pravda. I'd forgotten until OriginalContent reminded me, but Pravda was a state owned and controlled newspaper that was dissolved after the Soviet Union itself dissolved.

I can assure you: Pravda.ru is NOT the former soviet state newpaper.

An Opinion From Australian NewspaperJan 09, 2010
Military shock and awe won't overcome terrorism January 8, 2010 A smarter approach, which keeps the threat in perspective, is needed. NOT all ways of dying rate equally in the public mind. More than 1500 Australians died last year in road accidents, many of them preventable. Had terrorists killed the same number, we would have found that unbearable. Even a failed bombing attempt on a plane bound for Detroit on Christmas Day has instantly triggered tighter security. Because the Nige ...

My, My. While Reading Old Newspaper Articles, I Came Across This One:Feb 19, 2013
1/17/2003:  "WARHEADS FOUND IN IRAQ" so I got curious, read the article and found out the U.N. had only found 11 warheads BUT they were going to test them for any trace of chemicals in the warheads.  When I did a search on this article to find out if they ever tested those warheads, I found MORE on the sugject. Please feel free to read the article links i posted and I apologize for the length of this post, but it just goes to show how much the left and MSM has buried a lot of stories/ ...

Great Post From A Local NewspaperMay 27, 2010
A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost.  She lowered her altitude and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted to him,    "Excuse me, can you help me?  I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."     The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, "You're in a hot air balloon, approximately 30 feet above ground elevation of 2,346 feet above sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north lat ...

An Interesting Read In The Washington Times-I Posted The NewspaperApr 03, 2013
waste their time because it's not somebody (Joe Curl) or some newspaper they can believe no matter how truthful the analysis or opinion of the writer. No flaming necessary as I'm just posting an article that does tell the truth even if the headline doesn't give the true contents of the article. It compares Obama and Bush and it's a "thinker." ANALYSIS/OPINION: Being president of the U.S., the most powerful man in the world, is often most about perception. The man ...

German Newspaper Says Assad Didn't Order The AttackSep 08, 2013
This is why the U.S. should wait. This is probably why most countries are not backing us, too. Every Major Florida Newspaper Demands A Criminal Investigation Of TrumpSep 13, 2016
Florida’s three largest newspapers – the Miami Herald, the Tampa Bay Times and the Orlando Sentinel – just called for a federal investigation of Republican nominee Donald Trump’s payoff to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, which forced the Republican nominee to pay an IRS fine and re-ignited media coverage of the Trump University scam and cover up. To date, 827 Floridians have joined the New York Attorney General’s lawsuit against Donald Trump. ...

Historically Black Newspaper From Ben Carson's Hometown: He's Just A 'House NegroAug 23, 2017
Wow. Liberals show you who they really are when they think the environment will permit it. The Michigan Chronicle is a historically black Detroit-based newspaper that has not always been down-the-line pro-Democrat. But I guess there are certain things you have to believe if you're going to qualify as authentically black these days, and one the most accomplished black men ever to grow up in the city of Detroit appears to no longer qualify: Being appointed Secretary of Housing and Urban ...

Watching The "debating" Here And Reading The Newspaper Stories On Gun Deaths, Etc.Jan 21, 2013
Those in the country that are for gun control seem to lump all gun deaths into the final total. I just read today where the editor of the paper pointed out that there are 30,000 gun deaths a year...but (s)he doesn't break it down to non-criminal or criminal.  Most of those deaths were caused by drug deals gone bad, drug deals, gang turf wars, etc. All people are thinking about are the 1% not caused by criminal actions, but the recent tragedy in CT has zeroed in on lumping LEGAL g ...

U.S. To Buy Russian HelicoptersAug 13, 2010
US to buy Russian helicopters for Afghan air force The Pentagon plans to buy ten Russian military helicopters for Afghanistan's fledgling air force at a cost of $180 million (£119 million), ignoring protests from Congressmen who say US aircraft should be considered. Defence Department officials have argued that purchasing the M-17s would accelerate the handover of control to Afghan forces. Most Afghan pilots are in their 40s or older and have flown nothing else. Most of t ...

Russian InterferenceJun 25, 2017
I'm an MT working 3 jobs and don't have as much time as I'd like to investigate, but I've looked into it as much as I can, and I still don't get what the problem with "Russian interference" in the 2016 election is. Who is elected POTUS profoundly affects virtually every nation of the world, so OF COURSE they care. And if they choose to devote massive amounts of money and energy to "propaganda" or "influence" campaigns, trusting "the numbers," well shame on us i ...

A Russian warship entered the eastern Mediterranean Friday and was heading toward the area where two U.S. Navy destroyers launched missile strikes into Syria, Fox News has learned. The Russian frigate, Admiral Grigorovich RFS-494, crossed through the Bosphorus Strait “a few hours ago” from the Black Sea, according to a U.S. defense official. Russian Embassy In UK Responds To Sanctions OfDec 30, 2016
The Russian response to Barack Obama’s announcement that he was expelling 35 diplomats over the alleged cyber attack on the US election, was fast, and in some cases, rather amusing. As officials in Moscow said that US diplomats would be ordered to leave in a tit-for-tat response, the Russian Embassy used Twitter to make its point with little panache. “President Obama expels 35 🇷iplomats in Cold War deja vu. Everybody, including the American people, will be glad to see the last of th ...

Why Are The Russian Threats Of Nuclear War Receiving So LittleOct 14, 2016
It might be that Putin is bluffing, of course, but if so it would seem very foolish on his part if he had to back down - and I don't think he'd paint himself into that kind of a corner. He's not a fool. Even so, it still shouldn't be a back-page story IMHO, because this goes along with the polls showing that the Russian populace has been "educated" by their government to believe that the United States is their greatest enemy. We haven't had this kind of overt ...
