I'm an MT working 3 jobs and don't have as much time as I'd like to investigate, but I've looked into it as much as I can, and I still don't get what the problem with "Russian interference" in the 2016 election is. Who is elected POTUS profoundly affects virtually every nation of the world, so OF COURSE they care. And if they choose to devote massive amounts of money and energy to "propaganda" or "influence" campaigns, trusting "the numbers," well shame on us if we don't recognize it and make intelligent decisions. I for one know spin when I see it and am confident it does not influence my voting. If anything, recognizing where it is coming from adds to my arsenal of information. And, if our "adversaries" happen to unearth documentable malfeasance, THANK YOU FOR THAT. Anyway, spying is illegal, and tampering with voting apparatus is illegal, but having an opinion about an election and expressing it is not, no matter how much effort you put into getting that opinion heard. And if Russia, or any other country, launches a massive effort to influence American voting, one of the things I will be thinking about is why they would do that, which candidate potentially benefits or harms them most, and why. I suppose I should add that I have never thought of Russia as the boogieman. And I welcome opposing viewpoints:)
