Obama Immigration Speech: All Major Television Networks Snub President, White House Not Pleased

Posted: Nov 21, 2014

Maybe because the majority of Americans do not want amnesty for millions of illegal aliens; the majority want our current immigration laws enforced, and they want this president to abide by them.

It was on the lame stream media in California. I guess that was to make the ILLEGAL aliens happy.

Yes, because corporations controlling the flow of information - is much better than government control

Additionally, neither the article, or the original article from Politico (which included the quote from John Earnest) said anything about the network's decision being "because people are against amnesty" - that is the poster's subjective opinion additive and in my opinion, should've been made clear by the poster.

As the president said, "Amnesty is what we have now. Millions of undocumented immigrants crossing the borders living here without being able to take responsibility for living here."

Allowing people who have lived here for 5 years, have proven they aren't a violent criminal are to pay a fine penalty and work towards citizenship or they're out is reasonable and exactly what GWB Bush's bill said in 2007. In fact, Obama has been more specific about "proving they are of good character" - background checks, no felonies.

So much for the liberal media myth - 'cept for Cali

I guess that puts an end to the common Republican-loser meme that the media is liberal. I so glad I won't have to listen to that one anymore.

Sorry, I meant this to post to the OP - nm

Maybe the media was already paid-off. - (Like they usually are).

White House Criticizes Ruling On Obama's Immigration ActionApr 09, 2015
A federal judge has wrongly prevented "common-sense policies" from taking effect by blocking President Barack Obama's executive action that seeks to shield millions of immigrants from deportation, and the federal government plans to continue its fight in a higher court, the White House said Wednesday. White House spokesman Josh Earnest said the policies are in the best interest of the economy and supported by businesses, faith leaders and local law enforcement across the country, "includ ...

Obama's Incoherent Immigration SpeechNov 22, 2014
By Ramesh Ponnuru "I count three ways President Barack Obama's speech on immigration last night contradicted itself. First, there was the absolutist language he used to justify his policy -- coupled with restrictions that aren't compatible with such language. The argument Obama made for his policy of offering legal status to millions of illegal immigrants was highly moralistic: We're not supposed to rip apart families, we can't deny people "a chance to make amends" and ...

‘I,’ ‘Me,’ ‘My’—Obama Uses First Person Singular 91 Times In Speech On ImmigrationNov 29, 2014
Leaving aside passages in which he quoted a Chicago pub owner and a letter from a citizen from Georgia, President Barack Obama used the first person singular—including the pronouns “I” and “me” and the adjective “my”—91 times in a speech he delivered in Chicago Tuesday to explain his unilateral action on immigration. But as often as Obama used “I,” “me” and “my” in Chicago this week, it was no match for the ...

Obama Quotes Nonexistent Bible Verse In Immigration SpeechDec 10, 2014
While there are plenty of Bible verses to mention while discussing immigration, President Obama on Tuesday quoted one which isn't so great, mainly because it's not real. "The good book says don't throw stones at glass houses, or make sure we're looking at the log in our eye before we are pointing out the moat in other folks eyes," Obama said during a speech in Nashville. One problem, though: The Bible never mentions glass houses. In addition to his b ...

Republican-led House Blocks Obama Immigration PlanDec 04, 2014
Washington (AFP) - In a symbolic rebuke to US President Barack Obama's unilateral action on immigration, the Republican-led House of Representatives voted Thursday to block his plan to shield millions of people from deportation. The bill, which passed 219-197 along party lines, was introduced by conservatives furious with what they consider Obama's abuse of power when he announced his executive order last month. But it is unlikely to reach the floor of the Senate, where Obama's ...

Senator Chuck Schumer Schumer and Adam Schiff have both castigated Devin Nunes, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, for his handling of the inquiry into Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election. They should think twice. The issue that has recently seized Nunes is of vital importance to anyone who cares about fundamental civil liberties. The trail that Nunes is following will inevitably lead back to a particularly significant leak. On Jan. 12, Washing ...

By Chris Ariens on Oct 21, 2009 12:58 PM Here's a curious turn in the White House vs. Fox News fight. On Monday, MSNBC's Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow were among several people who attended an off-the-record briefing with Pres. Obama at the White House. Sarah Palin Questions Obama White House Holiday Card Dec 22, 2011
Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin (R) attacked the White House holiday card in an article on Fox News Radio. The front of the card shows the Obamas' dog, Bo, sitting in a very Christmas-like setting, with a fireplace decorated with wreaths and red ribbons, and a table with a poinsettia plant and presents. "From our family to yours, may your holidays shine with the light of the season," reads the inside of the card, which is signed by the Obamas (including Bo). Palin characterized ...

What are your thoughts on Michelle inviting Common to the White House? I don't know the guy and know nothing about rappers, but from what I'm hearing, this is causing a big stink. I can't figure out why she would invite such a controversial person.
