In my opinion, conservatives are "free thinkers" in the sense that you are "free" to tell them what to "think," as they will believe just about anything no matter how crazy because it's what they want to believe and fits their narrative.

Actually, the latest studies say that Fox News viewers are the least informed of all the networks. MSNBC viewers are actually in no position to brag exactly either, according to the study. (see link)

This is why I don't have cable and get my news from the Internet from reliable sources. Unfortunately for the right-wing smear machine, young people don't really tune in to their propaganda bubble.
