but related and nonpartisan (I hope).

How much difference do you think any candidate can make under the present system? It is said that every senator, from the time they take office, has to spend 1/3 of their time raising money for the next election. Once in office they then have to "pay back" their donors in some way. Would you like to see the system change and how do you think it would affect politics?

Corporations should not be allowed to donate anything to a campaign. Private donations should be limited to perhaps $50 per person. Just think how much nicer that would be! Sometimes I think that the House reps have to spend too much time campaigning, but on the other hand, I am glad we got to vote out our previous representative after only 1 term of 2 years.

skyrocket, not because of ACA but the uncertainty on if they will get paid through subsidities with the republican plan. A big part is the pubs want to remove the mandate that everyone have insurance. What folks don't understand is that was the whole idea of the mandate. You can't just have sick people have insurance. On my mind has been the stealth helicoptor that was left behind in the raid that killed Osama Bin Laden. I think the young heroes on that raid just got a little too anxious on that one.
