Question: Putin's objective in Syria is obviously different than yours with respect to propping up Asad, attacking insurgents who oppose him, etc. What's your strategy with respect to Putin?
Answer: None. At least five minutes of non-answer, basically nothing more than the hope that Putin will change his mind.
With respect to climate change, a boat-load of assumptions that the very bad science is good and assertions that everyone and every other country agree with him. No recognition whatsoever that the science has been rigged for commercial and other reasons. "Climate change" (in terms of human causation) is the biggest scientific scandal in history...but he doesn't seem to have the least awareness.
And again, the master of the understatement much like Paris is a "setback": "I consider Asad, who has killled tens of thousand of his own citizens, to be illegitimate." No, Mr. President, Asad is not "illegitimate" - he is a war criminal. However, we now understand your failure to enforce your own so-called "red line" when Asad murdered thousands with chemical weapons.
How ANYONE, of ANY political persuasion, can continue to defend this disgusting failure of a President is simply beyond me. At some point, don't REALITY and TRUTH have to trump political allegiance? If not, we are, indeed, doomed - because DEMOCRACY DEPENDS ON AN ELECTORATE THAT CARES MORE ABOUT TRUTH THAN ABOUT PARTY.
