I am 49 years old and over the past 10 or 15 years have seen a dramatic increase in lying done by people I interact with: employers, prospective employers, recruiters, school admission folks, landlords, roofers, etc. We all know why they do it: Obviously they strongly desire that you believe their falsehood.
