KO to air news show in May in same time slot as Countdown.

Posted: Feb 9, 2011

Yes, he will be allowed to make political contributions to the candidate of his choice, just like any other citizen.  I guess when you cant get along with your bosses, you just become your own.  Got a couple of pretty decent upper mgmt titles to boot.  You go, KO!

Will not watch or listen to KO. - see message

[ In Reply To ..]
I seriously do not have enough time in my life to listen to his hate messages. Why o why did I ever like him and watch him throughout most of the Bush presidency. I have not figured that one out. Maybe cos I could not stand Bush. I slowly started losing interest in him when Obama and Clinton were running against each other. I found his viewpoints to be hateful and every time he opened his mouth he lied.

KO on TV or radio?....no thanks. I can hear brain cells dying when I listen to him.

Where do you get your news? - Just wondering. nm

Drudge, Millenium Ark, ice age now, Rense, CNN website, AOL, Reuters, USA today, some websites from other countries to find out what's going on in other countries, and a few "out there" sites (that talk about aliens and doom and gloom things - gotta have some entertainment LOL).

I will usually read anything. Lost interest in the main news stations except CNN. Bored with their TV station so just read the website. I have basically turned off all TV news stations. My life is much happier for it.

Could you please provide a couple of examples of - his hate messages?

[ In Reply To ..]
I must have missed something. Whatever they are, I am sure they dont hold a candle to Beck, Hammity and Billo. Simple passionate reporting of the truth does not qualify as hate messaging, at least not where I come from.

Well where do I begin?. - see message

I'm not talking about Beck, Insanity, or O'Reilly. I was talking about Olberman. Did my message name those others? No, it did not. So...lets stick to the topic I posted and you asked for samples. The list is too long to put here, so I will try and shorten it for you:

1. Every time he does his "worst person" routine he spews hate and spits goo when talking about the people he hates.

2. The hatred towards anyone who is conservative, while he's yelling into the camera during his uncontrollable rant.

3. The hatred he spews during his juvenile rants when talking about Bush, Colter, Hannity, etc, etc, etc. (sat through many of his hate rants during the Bush presidency and I actually for some insane reason thought it was okay to talk about the president the way he did).

4. The hatred he spewed during the elections towards Palin and McCain, yelling into the camera. No, not yelling, screaming at the top of his lungs. Man, I thought he'd have an aneurysm.

There...kept it short and simple. If you don't even see that, then I don't know what to say. Those other people you mentioned?...No, don't watch them either. Sean Insanity and Bill O, can't stand. Insanity is just a m***n in a suit (in MHO) (I left off the middle letters because I don't want to get banned. O'Reilly is a bore, the inquisitor and a bit too judgmental for my taste. Beck I can take because he doesn't spew hate. He just tells the audience what is actually going on in our government. Guess that's why he's a threat to most of them who believe that way. But when I wrote my post I didn't talk about them. I was talking about KO - The hater with no tolerance for anyone with a different opinion than his, and if your not in his club not matter what you do he's going to get in front of a camera and scream at the top of his lungs at you.
I asked for examples, not opinions. - sm

Let me help you out with this. An example would be a specific instance that serves the purpose of illustration. In this case, that would mean actual words that came out of his mouth, not your disdain for his method of delivery or disagreements you have with the content. Please cite a specific example of hate speech. Proceed with caution, especially in view of the fact that you are of the opinion that Beck reports on what is "actually going on in the government." This one statement would indicate that you do not have the vaguest notion what constitutes facts, which are easily mobilized and employed in a strong line of defense when it comes time to examine your citations.

Does Current TV have an online stream? - not in basic program package

[ In Reply To ..]
MSNBC isn't in basic package either--no doubt why Faux does better in ratings. I did find a streaming site for MSNBC, though.
Not sure if they have live stream but - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
here is a link to the channel converter for major providers. If you Google Current TV live feed there do seem to be ways you can access it for free. I would try calling or emailing them to get more specific info for your area.

The station is relatively new. It was founded in 2005 by Al Gore and Joe Hyatt and has a viewer-generated line up, public TV access style, including This American Life Live. Go to their site and crusie around. On superficial inspection, it appears to have at least a delayed-broadcast archive like Democracy Now! had before it offered live streaming. My bet is that he will build up this network's audience the same way he did at MSNBC before it merged with Comcast.

Good luck with the search.

I Understand Fox News Did Not Show The Jul 29, 2016
He gave a wonderful speech about his Muslim American son who was killed in the line of duty and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery. I think his speech was one of the best moments of the evening. If anyone wants to watch, I have included the link. I gather Fox probably didn't want to show anything good at all about Muslim Americans, much less see the father of a Patriot who died in the line of duty wipe the floor with Trump, which he definitely did. ...

Countdown To Self-destruct Just Got Shorter. GOPgrinch's Sweeping Poor StereotypesDec 02, 2011
All children, not just those from disadvantaged neighborhoods, benefit from early good work ethics orientation, no argument there.  How to achieve that is another matter entirely.  Candidate G-man's utterly clueless characterization of poor household parents and preposterous after-school janitoring program proposal exposes an off-the-chart, out-of-touch mindset of astronomical dimensions.  The hubris is positively breathtaking.      I am of ...

What? Health Care Countdown: Senate Bill Could Hit Middle Class HardJan 04, 2010
In fact, the Senate is counting on raising $120 billion in new taxes over the next 10 years, the majority of which will come from the middle class. Another $30 billion is expected to roll in from the actual tax on insurance plans, but far more comes from wages. "This is a big tax on the middle class," said Douglas Holtz-Eakin, former director of the Congressional Budget Office, noting that 95 percent of people with the so-called Cadillac plans make under $250,000. And that tax, critics sa ...

MSNBC To Move Ed Schultz To 8 Pm Slot. Current TV To Oct 20, 2011
Schultz will swap slots with Lawrence O'Donnell.  Seems his focus on workers issues and OWS/99ers boosted his viewer numbers.  Meanwhile, Cenk Uygur will join Current TV's evening lineup shortly to host a new Current TV show, The Young Turks, which is scheduled for the hour before Countdown with KO.  In January, former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm will debut The War Room in the time slot after Countdown. Current's newly appointed CEO ...

We have an inside source at Discovery Communications and we've been leaked information on Sarah Palin's show for The Learning Channel. Last week Discovery had its annual sales conference for ad buyers for all of its 13 networks. The presentation showcases all of their new shows across the different networks. That night the presentation was on Sarah Palin's Alaska. Our ...

Did Anyone Catch The Beck Show? Not His Usual ShowNov 13, 2009
If anyone didn't catch it, I'd encourage you to watch it this weekend.  It wasn't his usual show that everyone hates.  He had an audience (not sure if there were any white people, mostly African-American) and they were talking about issues and problems.  Most of them voted for Obama and they discussed issues going on.  It was very interesting. One guy showed Obama where he grew up in the Harlam and what it was like for him growing up.  It was just a very g ...

Every one of them has serious flaws, either of character, personality, world view, experience, or philosophy - and in most cases more than one of these - that I simply cannot stomach. In my experience, it's always a choice between the lesser of two evils, but this election cycle seems to have brought out a spectacularly miserable collection of candidates.  And yes, Sanders and Trump supporters, I mean them too - or perhaps especially them too.
