Just watched Comrade Obama give a speech/criticism

For the simple fact so many posters on this board claim Romney has no budget. Maybe it was another Obama "composite". Maybe Debbie Wasserman Schultz is dropping the ball on getting out the info to the devoted few (she did an interview on 08/12 slamming Romney budget). What do they know that the devotees on this board do not? Are these 2, Obama and DWS, lying again/still, or is it posters so consumed with getting out misleading info they are not following their leader closely enough? Hmmmmmm

I'm going to ignore the simplistic view of this comment and just go with the comment itself. Spread the wealth around. In a society that is supposed to function as a whole, exactly what is wrong with that statement, because you say it like its a bad thing. Let me guess. You think Mr. Billionaire will suffer because the money he works for is going to someone else. So, does that mean that he works harder than the laboror working 10 hour shifts for 60 bucks a day? Is the work the laborer does inferior to that done by Mr. Billionaire? No..the difference between the two is that Mr. Billionaire is the boss of the laboror. Mr. Billionaire is in it for himself, and really doesn't care about the laboror. The only thing he cares about is that his product is delivered so he can have more money.

When one lives in a society it is the duty of every individual in that society to contribute as they are the ones who benefit.

See, I really don't see the problem in actually spreading the wealth. Everyone in this country has something to offer, but if they are denied that chance by overbearing, money-hungry, monopolizing business, we will never see the true greatness of our nation.

How about it is none of YOUR business? You want - the wealth, YOU work and sacrifice for it!!

that folks who aren't wealthy didn't work for what they have? Not everyone (especially in today's economy) who needs help is a "moocher." Most of them just need a level playing field. How fair is it that I paid a higher tax rate that Romney last year? I see that as a penalty for not being wealthy.

Let's just look at the numbers for a sec. Romney wants to put the burden of taxes on the middle class while decreasing taxes on the wealthy. Obama wants to shift a large bulk of that burden to the wealthy. Now, given the fact that the middle class has no money right now, who do you think will actually get the money?

I personally would be for a flat tax rate across the board, but ALL loopholes would have to be closed. However, for now, we aren't in a position to be patient with that type of plan, and the bottom line is that we need to get the money where the money is available. The wealthy have prospered in this country, even through the Clinton years, and will continue to do so regardless.

How fair is it that I paid a higher tax rate that Romney last year? - This is exactly what needs to be fixed.

I have yet to see ANYONE claim that Romney has not filed taxes. The question is whether or not he has paid INCOME TAXES.

And we know because he has released thus far 1 year and a partial year.

We know from what he HAS released that his rate was %15.4.

Warren Buffet milks the loopholes even more at an effective rate of %11.

When your money comes from dividends and capital gains rather than an official salary, you are using the %15 tax rate (or less, if you are rich enough).

So although these men may in fact pay more taxes than the rest of us, their tax RATE is significantly lower.

From what I gather from the "basic math" post is that they think the rick pay more because 15% of their income is more than 15% of a middle class income. This reasoning is completely flawed as taxes are calculated in percentages, not simply the amount paid.

Dial back your thought process to the tens of thousands of employees nationwide who committed to hard work, loyally putting in their company time for the promise of benefits and pensions that were looted, embezzled, misappropriated, and GONE by the time they retired. Wage theft is a popular get-rich-quick strategy, though not one I can admire. In this case - yes - these corporations ARE stealing from us, and I consider that the absolute lowest form of mooching.

Go back and read it. This interview was done right after the announcement of Ryan being selected. She's assuming that Romney (since he considered it so MAAAHvelous in the past) would be using Ryan's budget plan. She even says ROMNEY-RYAN BUDGET. The Ryan budget is what pretty much the entire interview is based on.

Now, and I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that Romney does not have a plan. One minute he says he has his own plan trying to distance himself from Ryan's plan, next minute he says things are nearly identical (medicare) to Ryan's plan, and then supposedly there are more cuts than Ryan's plan.

If you have information on ROMNEY'S PLAN that is very different but identical but better than Ryan's, please share where all the rest of us can find it. Otherwise, stop using this subject as yet another opportunity to use ridiculous overplayed cheap shots. Comrade... really??
