Do you think they are being truthful with the status of the nuclear plants? If not, do you think our gov't knows what's happening over there? I see people being swiped with those geiger counters and that's so frightening.
One thing I noticed over the past couple of days. I've seen no looting or anything unlawful going on over there. There is horrible suffering, but no one is breaking into grocery stores and emptying shelves? Over here in the U.S., unfortunately, my guess is that it would be a totally different story.

[ In Reply To ..]I believe it's a major problem and they know it. I think the Japanese people know it too, but they are wise enough to know that there is nothing that can be done, so they are bravely "accepting" what they are being told.
They also calmly and politely go into the grocery stores, etc., because that is their culture. I admire that very much.
There is no doubt that they know and realize, even though they are no doubt in shock right now, that they have more aftershocks, radiation exposure, starvation, and later disease, to deal with. They are showing courage.I would hope that we would do the same, but we know that some of our people would not be as brave and selfless.

The Japanese people are a respectful people. They are kind, considerate, and respect others. They take care of their own families and help others if needed. They don't take handouts and I think they get insulted if offered (not sure).
Riot is not a definition in their dictionary.
I saw Dianne Sawyer's report this morning and when she walked up to one group of people, a man jumped up and offered her some food from their minimal amount.
I hurt for them and can only hope the food and water supplies can get through to those that need them.
I noticed O is not saying much and not having any press conferences about how much we have to do to help them like he did during other crises. I also don't see a lot of commercials to offer donations to help.
We all need to pray for their safety.
