Walter Williams preaching about the pitfalls and perils of welfare and minimum wage is about as convincing as the sound of one hand clapping. He is a schill for the cons who has about as much acceptance in the black community as a rattlesnake at a backyard barbeque.

Sounds like Bill Mahr, elitist. They believe the majority of the country is stupid and ignorant. They believe that only a few select news outlets are trustworthy. They were told it was true, so it must be. Those silly ratings don't mean anything. Besides, who cares if hardly anyone watches?

They also say that sagging poll numbers really don't matter much either. They say Obama has this election already won and wonder why the Republicans even bother to put a candidate on the ballot. Let's see... for starters, there are 3 wars, sky-high foreclosure and unemployment numbers, and $4 a gallon for gas to name a few. They keep telling themselves that it doesn't mean the American people have given up on Hope and Change.

And what was it that Pelosi said? Oh yeah, "Elections shouldn't matter as much as they do."

If you say it over and over enough times, some may even begin to believe it.

Even though I've thought it for a long time, the only person in the public spotlight I've actually heard express the same opinion as mine (and others) regarding Fox's high ratings equaling high-quality programming is Jon Stewart in his interview of Bret Baier. And the only POV I've heard over and over enough times that some obviously are believing it is the one coming from those who try to justify Fox's lack of credibility with their high ratings. Jon Stewart's response was to Brett Baier citing Fox's high ratings... go figure because it's a Fox/Fox viewer canned response. I stand by what I (and Jon Stewart) said. Ratings do not equal quality. And as for finding only select news outlets trustworthy, this is most demonstrated by loyal Fox viewers (that's how Fox and the like want it) as well as loyal right-wing radio listeners.

The original Fox article posted is predictable, not accurate, and trying to make the issues of doing away with minimum wage and welfare palatable. There is more to this issue than the article cites; however, Fox has left that out... probably because welfare and the minimum wage will be the next on the GOP to-do (away with) list. Turd polishing.
