Is there a full moon? AP and Newsweek both (sm)

are actually reporting there was a security lapse in Libya - OMG - I can't believe it.  There goes Hill's career, and hopefully Obama's.  Couldn't happen to a more well deserving couple.

No comment from the White House. - Of course not. (sm)

Obama in the back room praying to Allah, please just let me coast through November 6, please. I'll even pass on the virgins.

of course people getting killed is a security lapse - ...

I hope Newsweek and the AP did not have a team of monkeys working around the clock on this one. The things that you rejoice over astonish me.

You wish ill on them at LEAST once a day. I don't believe - all that going-round stuff and presume you neither

Good thing for you, huh? BTW, the free exercise of malice is a big reason why I don't believe that nonsense.

Huh? - Wish ill on who? nm

that the Oversight Committee witch-hunter-in-chief Darrell Issa and Romney primary camp rep and fellow Oversight Committee member Jeffrey Chaffetz are ALLEGING a security lapse in a letter they sent to SOS Clinton. The accusations are based on info gleaned from UNNAMED "individuals with direct knowledge of events in Libya." As I recall, unnamed individuals with direct knowledge of events in Libya (eyewitnesses living nearby) also reported that the original protesters who showed up at the embassy were not armed and did not have heavy artillery at their disposal, a report you and other wingers determined to transform Libya into the October surprise choose to ignore.

I also recall reading somewhere that it was Ambassador Stevens himself who did not want enhanced security around the embassy. He would have been the one to sign off on such a request. This was already covered just days after the incident in reports of the meetings that transpired between the Libyan security official and the ambassador that occurred just days before the attack, where he was told (among other things) of the increased internet chatter that had been documented since the release of the video trailer's translation. It would make sense that at least some of the alleged incidents Issa and Chaffetz are questioning were discussed as well. Again, after that briefing, Stevens declined to request more security.

The State Department is not pre-empting the comment Clinton has said she will issue in response to the letter. After all, that's her job, since the letter was addressed to her, isn't it?

They are also reporting there is going to be a hearing on October 10. My guess would be that, as long as the investigation is ongoing (as is customary) details on the specifics and source identities will remain elusive, or at least, they should. This begs the question: Why, then, have Issa and Chaffetz decided at this particular moment in time to leak the unproven suspicions to the press, 8 days prior to the hearing? Anyone?

Maybe you should take your own advice and quit believing everything you read.

What are you talking about? - Every story has two sides.

Sorry you find that so upsetting. All I did was state what I had read regarding these accusations and events already reported on the events. Also, could you please point out the place in my post where I offered any advice?

A Full Repeal Of Obamacare Must Get Through The Senate,Mar 09, 2017
Peter Nelson, my colleague at Center of the American Experiment, is one of the country’s leading experts on health care policy. Therefore, the first bill that has been unveiled is intended to be pa ...
