"Former President George W. Bush billed a charity for wounded military veterans $100,000 in speaking fees three years ago, a new report says. Bush charged Texas-based Helping a Hero that amount in 2012, according to ABC News. The organization also provided Bush with private jet travel to Houston at a cost of $20,000. Laura Bush, the former president’s wife, additionally pocketed $50,000 after appearing for the group in 2011, ABC reported."
So he sends thousands of American soldiers to be wounded or killed in wars, one of which he started under completely falsified pretenses. Then he turns around and charges a small fortune to speak at a charity event to raise money to help the maimed survivors.
This certainly meets my definition of disgusting behavior.

What is not mentioned is that a private donor paid the - fee and they raised $2.5 million

So doing the math we're talking about $170,000 in fees paid with $150,000 going directly to the Bushes for speaking fees which they could have and should have waived completely. That was a really bad call on both their parts. Sickening really. I don't care how much money the group raised, the Bushes profiting from a veteran's group for speeches given two years in a row is just the definition of insanity, in my opinion.

I'm going with "no" on my own question, although I have heard conservatives whining that Trump is working to get Hillary the nomination and presidency...... utter fantasy and complete nonsense, in my opinion, and yet another conservative conspiracy theory is born. LOL. Trump is in it for Trump and against Bush.
Deflect to the Clintons all you wish, but they don't charge speaking fees to veterans. George W. Bush has always been a special kind of stupid, in my opinion, and I suspect he and Laura will rethink this one and return the money in order to save face. Jeb will make them do it (probably pay for it too) since they're trying to shove yet another Bush down the throats of the American public. Time will tell.
In summary, it's bad when Republicans charge to speak but - good when Democrats do. The End.

I do suspect they will correct those bad decisions in some way and say they "did not realize" or "had no idea" or "would never" or some such excuse. Stay tuned for that very needed correction.
