A pair of explosions rocked the finish line at the Boston Marathon, injuring at least a half-dozen people

I live just outside of Boston. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone there. It really is a sad world we live in.

Loss of serious injuries and loss of limbs.

They're positive now that there were bombs. There was also a fire at the JFK library right after the explosions and they found a 3rd bomb that they detonated...but there is also a statement that they found another un-exploded device that they disarmed and are going to try to get clues and info about what was used and hopefully, they might be able to get DNA or finger prints off them.

CBS has the best coverage on it so far. They even had video of the 2nd explosion.

Did I say that they think there's a security camera at one of the stores and they are checking out this person that put something in a trash can right before one of the explosions. Thank heavens the ambulances were there. It could have been much worse.

political, religious or ideological in nature, and intent to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof in the furtherance of their specified agenda. President Obama was right about jumping to conclusions. For all we know it could be a disgruntled aspiring contender who failed to qualify for the marathon, since the Boston Athletic Association requires them to meet certain time standards for their corresponding age groups. Time will tell.

Maybe gun advocates are trying to make a point on Patriot's Day in Boston that crazy people can kill without guns. (Sounds more applicable than North Korea.)

Well,it wasn't the entire race, the last few miles I think. There were people from Newtown running in remembrance of the kids and some spectators.

He probably wouldn't have been able to lawfully own a gun anyway because of his previous charge in 2009. They didn't have assault weapons, either, so that blows another argument.
