Debunking Obamacare Myths

"Against all odds and expectations, enrollments in health plans qualified under the Afforable Care Act are surging today toward--and maybe beyond--the 7-million figure projected by the Congressional Budge Office before Oct. 1, when the open-enrollment period began. The deadline for starting enrollment applications for 2014 plans is midnight tonight.

The surge is creating a big problem for the "train wreck" narrative of Republican opponents of the ACA who have been holding out hope for Obamacare's utter failure. So the excuse-making has begun."

Today I have been seeing local stories on the news about how happy people are with their insurance. Yay, Obamacare!

6 or 7 million happy Obamacare people - versus 290+ million other unhappy Americans.

Last Monday, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) posted a “quick poll” on his Facebook page asking his followers if they are “better off” now than before the Affordable Care Act passed four years earlier. A week later with the Obamacare sign-up deadline upon us, the unscientific results and in and they likely aren’t what Cruz was expecting.

Cruz neglected to use Facebook’s official poll feature, instead asking people to comment with a simple “YES” or “NO.” After seven days, the post has accumulated more than 47,000 comments with a startling number of people answering in the affirmative. The way Facebook works, the comments with the most “Likes” rise to the top of the post. As you can see by viewing the comments on the post below, every single one of the most-liked comments answers a resounding “Yes” to Cruz’s question.

Subsidies go away.

Rates WILL increase next year, no way around it. Do the math.

State Medicaid programs fail because of so many people on them.

Income tax refunds disappear due to higher taxes and people now paying.

National debt goes up as insurance companies get even more money as they were promised when they 'lost" money, which I am sure they will make happen on paper.

People travel further and further for medical care as fewer medical providers and facilities participate.

and .. there are many more ways as the uglier effects have not yet really been seen, unless you are one of the ones who can't afford to go to the doctor NOW because of ridiculous copays.

So this is what I have learned. After listening about the new health insurance, this is what I know. There are 3 levels of care/cost. They are trying to get the young people to join to keep the cost down for the older people.
