Thank goodness he got the surgery and lived. But why no insurance? - Anon

[ In Reply To ..]
Especially since they live in a 3700 square foot home that cost over $350,000? Since it's obviously not a lack of funds, it's just irresponsibility.

It says a pre-existing - condition

There you go again, calling people irresponsible.(sm) - Nikki

[ In Reply To ..]

This time you don't even know why, yet you still call them irresponsible. It's interesting how you remembered how big and how expensive their house was, but the entire point of the article flew right over your head.

Just in case you really care why, read the article. The answer lies therein. (Warning: It doesn't show any "irresponsibility" on the part of the parents, so  you might not like it.)

Nikki is right! Why do you (Anon) always assume - the worst about people??

[ In Reply To ..]
Bad things do happen to good people, and is not always the result of "irresponsibilty" or "laziness."
Do you actually like being manipulated by the media? - Anon
[ In Reply To ..]
Well, I don't. It annoys me. The media has an agenda....and right now it's nationalized health care. Expect lots of these stories until we all "get on board" with Obamacare.

Guess you need to read some history, especially about Germany in the 1930s.
It's something much deeper - than
[ In Reply To ..]
your annoyance at the media or those perceived to be "manipulated." It is obviously a character trait.
So now you're a shrink...but moonlighting as a transcriptionist? - Anon

It would be nice if it actually took a "shrink" to - figure it out

Must not be difficult because his/her post - looked pretty clear to me.

The parents live in Crowley, not Coppell. Your conclusion is based - on a false premise...again. sm

[ In Reply To ..]
The link to the info on the Coppell address is shown below. Please note that the Douglas J. Tracy that lives in the 3777 sq. ft house is married to a lady named Sherri A. Tracy, age 47...not Houston's mother and not the same couple. Doug, age 39, and Kim Tracy, age 36, live in Crowley, Texas.

On the subject of personal responsibility, the Tracys have 2 other children, on whom they carry medical insurance, even though they cannot afford coverage for themselves as a family. So how responsible would it be for these 2 small business owners to liquidate the homestead of their 2 kids and a newborn? Are you really okay with the idea that parents of a newborn with a heart defect should have to lose their home since their insurance company is refusing to cover the new addition to the family? REALLY?

BTW, I found this false info you are trying to pass on in a blog response penned by folks who obviously do not fact check before they post. But hey, cons do not hesitate to kick new parents and sick infants when they are down just so long as it helps them score political points, huh? Never mind that their info is, well....a lie.

Did the liberals/media wait for the facts on the Teaparty protestors? - Anon

[ In Reply To ..]
No...in fact, most of the progressives jumped right on the story and called conservatives, including the people on this board, all sorts of disgusting names.

Even when the story turned out to be false and/or embellished, they continued to perpetuate the lie.

Big whoop-ti-doo, I called this couple irresponsible. They didn't read the fine print and now they're screwed.

But that's nothing to what the liberals on this board called conservatives, and to date no apologies from any of you.

Ummmm...it was the TEA PARTY who ignored the FACTS - To wit: Old Video purported to be current
[ In Reply To ..]
Get it straight. It is the tea party themselves who are trying to spread lies and distortion.
What are you talking about? What's an "old video?" - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
And what lies and distortions are they trying to spread?

Medical Insurance Coverage: Will We Receive Any?Nov 15, 2012
Now that the elections are over, it seems Obamacare will be going into effect. What do you think the MTSOs are going to do?  The new law will require all businesses with over 50 employees to offer insurance.     It really would be nice if the large companies did the right thing and offered insurance without having to meet line count guidelines. Insurance being tied to line count always leaves a bad taste in the mouth of employees because when work is low, you ...

Liberals Push Dental Coverage For All, Health Insurance For Illegals--And MoreJan 20, 2015
At a time when Republicans are trying to roll back certain provisions of the Affordable Care Act (if not the entire law), a liberal advocacy group is looking ahead to the next round of taxpayer-subsidized health care "reform." Families USA says the ACA was a good start, but it has now outlined 19 specific proposals "to improve health care for everyone in our nation." The plan, called Health Reform 2.0, would "improve coverage and extend care." That means making dental coverage universall ...

Do you believe insurance should not cover maternity costs also.  It is a lady's choice to become pregnant, so is that the same category of covering birth control pills.  How about should employers be allowed to deny coverage of pregnancy if mother is not married.  That might violate some employers religious beliefs to pay for illegitimate children. A Breaking HeartJun 11, 2013
My stepfather and I lost our beloved Tiny, a Chihuahua/Terrier mix on Sunday.  She was diagnosed with Cushing's about three years ago, and since then has had a few bouts of severe pancreatitis where we thought we would lose her.  Saturday evening she could not keep her supper down after about 1 1/2 hours, then Sunday morning he gave her a soft boiled egg, which she again lost about 1 hour later.  When he arrived home from church she vomited a small amount again.
