Below is a list of 37 (out of the 67) GOP hypocrites who voted against the $9 billion Sandy relief funds, STRICTLY DEDICATED to flood insurance guarantees, after they had supported and/or praised emergency aid services for other disasters that affected their own constituents. Unlike the ad hominem attempts to somehow discredit climate change by launching personal attacks against one of its most ardent spokespersons, the hypocrisy exposed here amongst this large group of pols leaves no doubt in any rational person's mind about their very, very questionable motives and the obscene politicization of disaster relief, not to mention the callous apathy toward the Blue States victims.

Dan Benishek (R-MI): Endorsed USDA emergency crop relief assistance for 72 counties after spring 2012 freezes, a request former Governor Tom Vilsack (D-IA) and USDA Secretary approved in 18 days, once county-wide loss assessment reports were submitted and reviewed. Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-TX): Blasted FEMA for denying a disaster relief request for wildfires. I remember this one. Governor Slick Rick tried to get FEMA to designate 252 out of 254 counties in May of 2011. This was after FEMA had already granted 25 wildfire grants for local outbreaks. FEMA finally did grant another request in July that year after Perry pared down that number from 252 to 45 !! Neugebauer also pushed for USDA disaster relief for farmers in 2007.

Rep. Steven Palazzo (R-MS): Backed emergency funds for Katrina cleanup. Evidently, cleanup is not a pressing concern of his party when it’s needed on the Eastern Seaboard, since they saw fit to separate that part of the aid out of this first meager vote.
