Buy a $15K policy or go to jail

Posted: Nov 7, 2009

Nobody can tell me that she cares about the American people.  How is someone supposed to dole out 15K when they are out of work and don't have enough money to eat.

Pelosi disgusts me!!!!

I forgot to mention - not only go to jail - - but for 5 years (FIVE YEARS!!!)

I don't ever want to hear somebody say she care's about the American people.

What I would like to hear is SHE is on her way to jail.

How would you legislate in - order to

[ In Reply To ..]
to stop people from taking advantage of the healthcare system? I've seen on this board many times "they have to treat you, they cannot turn you away." What kind of mentality is this? There are so many many people in this country who feel it is their right to "take a chance" when they can afford insurance very well. They don't buy it, then end up taking advantage of the rest of us by borrowing from institutions and physicians who are not in the business of lending money, and even filing bankruptcy. This mentality has cost the American people dearly.

That's the point - NJ

[ In Reply To ..]
They don't want it legislated. They want people to continue to take advantage of others. It's their right. Go figure.

Redistribution of wealth is Obama's game. You guys are the ones who - want someone elses money!! Jeez, get a clue...nm

Wow - that statement really says - what its really all about
[ In Reply To ..]
They are the ones who want someone else's money. No wonder why they are fighting so hard for this.

Good observation. Thanks.
That's right. Maybe the Dems should redistribute - some of their wealth
[ In Reply To ..]
of intelligence and really help you guys out. Shame on them for being so greedy!

Oh yes, I lost my head for a minute - there

[ In Reply To ..]
Sometimes I forget that not everyone gives a rat's behind about anyone but themselves and will take advantage and call it their constitutional right.

No that's not a point - egaads girl you've got it so wrong - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
If you feel good continuing to spread lies then more power to ya, however, we all know that's all they are.

America knows the systems needs some work, but America does not want a government take-over that will not cover everyone, increase taxes and bankrupt the country. America wants the country to grow. Democrats want the country to fail and government to grow. Democrats do not care about the American way of life and this Pelosi-care they are trying to cram down our throats proves it.

The fear-mongering and hateful words of how we want to take take advantage of others is just utter rubbish. And truth be you could care less about whether certain people have health care coverage. Been reading your posts. All you care about is that it's a government takeover by the libs so that's okay by you. If the conservatives had the same exact plan you would be against it.

Democrats want to force everyone into a plan they refuse to joint themselves. If that's not a clue on how bad it is you just might want to go back to sleep and we'll wake you when this horrible nightmare is over. Democrats want to decrease the quality of medical coverage for all and force us to pay extra in taxes to cover abortions. They want to force us into paying something when we don't even have enough money to live on or eat, but just keep increasing our taxes. It's their way... Go figure.

anon
So Democrats are not - Americans?
[ In Reply To ..]
Why don't you answer the original question instead of "inseminatin?" By the way, where DO you get your information?
That's not what I said and there was no original question - anon
[ In Reply To ..]
Please copy and paste my words where I said democrats are not American. I didn't say it. What I did say is they are not working for the American people and they don't care about the American way of life. That is just a fact. Its a fact because of their actions. They are self serving with only one agenda.

Growing government (of course with them in charge - if republicans were in charge they'd be against it), and destroying small business, people's retirements, people's financial security, any hope for a better future for our children. Their motto is "work more so it will be given to those who don't work".

They don't believe charity begins in the home. They believe you take it away whether or not they can afford it. Can't feed your children today? Well they probably ate enough yesterday anyway...you need to give the money to others, and if you want to eat and you need to get your children some clothes for school because they've outgrown what they have? Well you're just one of those selfish conservative's who only care about yourself.

The Pelosi-plan has in it that people will pay more in taxes to cover abortions.

If you don't have the money to pay for insurance and dole out $15K a year for health insurance...say goodbye to the next 5 years of your life. But hey, maybe you can acquire a new skill while your in jail so when you get it you might have a job.

That's all I'll post. I'm not going to do the researching you should be doing. There are plenty of other sites out there if you want to read about it, but I'm sure you don't want to.

Keep perpetuating the lies, but everyone knows that's all they are.

You said it just as surely as if you had - put it in the words I did
[ In Reply To ..]
The question is in the original post.
I asked the poster to tell me where I said that - seems you cant provide proof
[ In Reply To ..]
This is just a waste of my time. Don't know if you were the one I was replying to, but seems you can't even do the simple task of what I asked. That's because I didn't say it. And since you can't provide facts to back up your claim I'm not going to waste any more time.

Provide facts otherwise why even reply.

See ya.
You can't see it? What America wants and what Democrats want? - How can you not see

you have them listed as two different things? Must be something Freudian.

Using my slept-through-it analogy, huh? Glad you liked it enough to copy ^^

Your interpretation of what Dems want is false. You are expressing an opinion of an outcome which is not the same as a motivation.

So, Watcher, how ya been?

[ In Reply To ..]
It's a virus, I swear! Gee-we want the country to fail?? Someone forgot to tell me! Must have missed the memo. And we want to take all their money. Wow, I must have missed that one, too.

Accusations like that could not be more wrong, or more silly. It is right up there with "you are a Socialist, Communist, Marxist, Fascist"-which is it?? Just depends on which "ist" falls out of their mouth at the time. Silly, like "Obama is not an American", or "he is a Muslim" (at the same time he was being accused of being a racist under his former preacher-evangelical Christian, at the same time), "he is unpatriotic because he does not wear a flag on his lapel", "he is trying to indocrinate our children if he talks to our children in school", "he is a racist"-now he is trying to destroy the country, huh? Do you have any idea how extremist and silly and stupid that sounds? I hated Bush, I think he was completely incompetent as a President. I never said he was trying to destroy the country, although that is what he eventually did, because I knew that was not true and it would be silly to make a statement like that.
Thanks for the compliment - anon
[ In Reply To ..]
For someone to think I'm watcher is a huge huge compliment. Thank you, thank you, thank you! But alas, I am not. But I sure do miss her.

Newsflash...the "slept-through-it analogy" has been used before. In fact I did not copy and paste. Typed the words myself.

The moderator said there would be trolls on the board stirring up trouble attacking people just to get a rise out of them and to just ignore them. She sure was right on that one.

P.S. - Go ahead and post anything you want to as a reply as this is so far down on my screen now I will not be reading the troll-reply.

See ya. - Thanks again for the compliment. Hopefully watcher will be back soon.

anon
Definitely - lilly
[ In Reply To ..]
This is definitely Watcher. Watcher didn't know the definition of troll either.
LOL! Ain't that the truth?! (nm) - Nikki
[ In Reply To ..]
/
and so pompous too - me
[ In Reply To ..]
you are. If you actually read watcher's posts you would know that anon is not watcher. Although that is a great compliment to believe someone is watcher.

P.S. Both watcher and anon most certainly do know the definition of troll and your post just proved it.

Trolls: "Depraved individuals who sit in front of a computer all day and posts flames of an idiotic nature on forums. Many of these people actually become emotional about what is said on the afore-said mediums and feel it is their duty to punish those who disagree with them. They too may pursue this object in an obsessive-compulsive manner."

Yup describes you and the others gleefully joining in with you.

Thanks for proving anon's point.
Thanks - for the
[ In Reply To ..]
definition and the example. :)
You believe NJ is a troll then? - It appears
[ In Reply To ..]
so. If NJ is a troll, then every single person on this board is a troll. The nature of this board is to disagree, don't you think? It's politics. No, you definitely do not know what a troll is either. Watcher used to call posters trolls when they would disagree with her and she became upset and emotional about it. Anon is now doing the same, and it appears you also have a problem understanding the definition.
I didn't reply to NJ, I replied to lilly - me
[ In Reply To ..]
Trolls appear on the boards just to attack people who don't agree with them. They become emotionally charged and feel the need to continually attack other posters (and not for the content of the message).

Since "lilly" replied just to attack that is who I was replying to. People who also just gleefully join in the fun of attacking others without any substance to their posts are also trolls too. NJ has been posting for quite some time, and I did not mention NJ in my post. So looks like you are assuming too. Unless of course your coming on to tell me that NJ is not posting anything of substance but just gleefully joining with the troll-post.

Yes, the nature of this board is to post about articles/issues and discuss them. Not to come on and attack a poster personally, and that is what the above posters are doing...attacking not for the content of the message but attacking the poster.

Watcher did not call poster trolls because they didn't agree with her. She called people trolls when they'd do a fly-by and attack her personally. You should go back and read her posts.

People on this board are passionate about their feelings. You are mistaking passion with upset and emotional. It is one thing to be passionate about an issue, another to become upset and emotional. Watcher was passionate.

Anon is not doing the same. People are attacking anon most likely just because of the moniker, which is what they did to watcher and what I see above in lilly and others who join her. That is called troll behavior.

You might want to look up the difference before you continue to assume.
The original post was of anon - calling NJ a troll
[ In Reply To ..]
That is what the whole thing is about. Follow the posts before you reply. Also, the subject in question was generally very nasty and troll-like in her passion. I believe you know that.
No you need to follow the posts before replying - I replied to the person who replied to my post
[ In Reply To ..]
I replied to the person who replied to my post.

So, NO that is not what my reply was to. My reply was to lilly.

You might want to follow along before you post something showing you don't know what you are talking about. If your not lilly why are you even involved other than to stir up some "troll-trouble.". This is what I mean by trolls. They attack the poster but not for the content of the material.

And NJ ASSumed anon is watcher which she clearly is not. But NJ is not the troll, she just displayed that behavior by gleefully agreeing with lilly, when lilly was clearly wrong (and NJ too).

And if you are so intently dead set on assuming anon is watcher I suggest you do was what asked. Email the moderator and ask her if anon and watcher are the same people.

Maybe if you would do something constructive with your time rather than coming on to attack posters and post false information we might just get somewhere.

P.S. Anon and me...we are the same one. I didn't post with anon the second time because I saw I was being attacked because of my moniker, not the content of my messages. So here at least I admit that me/anon - yup it's me. One in the same. But surely I am not watcher. If I was I would admit it. Next time you might want to not assume anything.

I'm outta here. Got more important things to do with my time.

P.S.S. - Still feel free to email the moderator any time.

See ya.

Maybe you can follow this.

1.  Anon's Post in reply to NJ says, (and this is only the part in question):

The moderator said there would be trolls on the board stirring up trouble attacking people just to get a rise out of them and to just ignore them. She sure was right on that one.

"This means that anon is calling NJ a troll."

anon

2.  Lilly's post in reply to above post from anon says:  This is definitely Watcher. Watcher didn't know the definition of troll either.

3.  You reply:
P.S. Both watcher and anon most certainly do know the definition of troll and your post just proved it.

So, if you can follow this, you will see that you said anon certainly knows the definition of a troll.  She had just called NJ a troll, therefore, it would follow that you agree with anon.

Can you follow this?  Are you able?  Is it possible at all?

By the way, what are you doing butting in?

Once again you didnt listen - - anon/me
[ In Reply To ..]
Cut and paste all you want. I did not reply to NJ, I replied to lilly. You are still wrong. Anyone who wants to make up something there is not is warped. Besides there is no need to cut and paste. You are just wasting your time since I know what the poster said that I replied to (i.e. lilly).

And on top of that in your brillance of deciding to cut and paste, nowhere did I say NJ was a troll. Show me the words "YOU are a troll NJ".

So you see once again you prove yourself wrong. You might want to stop while you're ahead. Well actually your not even ahead on this one.

So the message is to you "message", why are you coming on here stirring up trouble. This is classic troll behavior. Unless you had a message regarding the topic we were talking about there was no need to do a "fly by" to attack.

Can you follow this? Are you able? Is it possible at all? - naaa....didn't think so.

By the way, why don't you following the rules of the board and stick to issues instead of butting into things you have no idea what your talking about but just come on to stir up trouble and trash posters without adding anything to a topic we began discussing.

Now I'm really out of here. More important things to do than to argue with people who are wrong and don't know what their talking about.

Besides...that is not what this board is for.

Have a nice day :-)

P.S. - feel free to post all you want. There are more important issues and I will not be coming back to read them.

See ya.
Unbelievable - You cannot follow
[ In Reply To ..]
even with cut and paste 1. 2. 3. and when you originally posted the reply to NJ? Okay, we'll just say you insinuated she is a troll, how's that? Does that work? By the way, love the last word "(post all you want I won't read it)." Watcher used to do that too, always had to have the last word even if it was to say, "go ahead and post, I'm not gonna read it."

Watcher had some pretty good posts. She is an independent, which is why you hear a lot of negatives from the other side. It would be good to research the archives and see what all she has posted. You may come to believe a different opinion of her. There are some of us here who miss her.
If your so sure of that why don't you ask the moderator - she has the information
[ In Reply To ..]
You can send her an email and she will answer back. And she will tell you I'm not watcher.

This is what happens when you ASSume.

Particularly I don't care whether or not you believe me. Trolls usually don't care in the truth.

But again I thank you for the compliment.

Watcher, where did you go. We need you back.

anon

that is the piont - you are right

[ In Reply To ..]
you said the right thing but on the wrong principle. The point is that it is and individual's right but the govt is now going to take that right away. People now have a RIGHT to choose for themselves, and we don't want it legislated. This is just govt taking away more personal freedom. I don't understand why anyone is okay with that. We need to stop the govt from chiping away at our personal freedom - not give them the power to take away more.
Choice? - Your choice?
[ In Reply To ..]
You want to exercise your "right" to choose to potentially use the rest of us by opting not to purchase health insurance even if you can afford it. Taking a chance on having medical bills you can't pay, making payments to physicians and institutions when they are not in the business of lending money, filing bankruptcy. Your choice, your right. Then it would follow that hospitals and physicians should be able to exercise the right (without repercussion) to refuse you treatment unless you can pay up front, don't you think? Perhaps the focus should be shifted.
I can't choose for myself. (sm) - Nikki
[ In Reply To ..]
I have a preexisting condition, and even if I didn't, I can't afford to spend $500.00 per month for health insurance, especially with the high deductibles and co-pays.

Those who like the insurance they have can "choose" to keep it. For people like me, there IS no choice.

Government Option - OHMT

[ In Reply To ..]
Right now, Hubby pays about $1,200 a YEAR for the both of us thru his employer. That includes medical, hospital, dental, vision and Rx. Why would I want to buy into a failure gov't option plan? This may be my only saving grace - the company he works for has plants all over the world so maybe, just maybe, we can keep our regular insurance.

Going to jail for not having medical insurance is ridiculous. Our jails are overcrowded as it is. At my age of 42, 5'4", 115 lbs and arthritis, I would not be able to defend myself. I dislike Botox face more every day.

Dental with gov't option? - OHMT

I forgot to mention that NOTHING has been said about dental coverage. what about that? And will the option cover Botox so we can all look as paralyzed and surprised as Pelosi?

Nice that you want to look like Pelosi, - however

Botox overdose face - OHMT

Oh, that was strictly sarcasm about Botox being covered. I want nothing to do with putting poison into my face. I started getting some gray hair here and there a few years back and still don't color my hair. It doesn't bother me. And the LAST thing I want to do is look like Pelosi.

making jabs at the looks of others, no matter who it is. It seems so low to me. I know many people do it, but I'll just never understand I guess. Seems to me that doing something like that says you're ugly inside which is far worse than outside. Ah well, it's the nature of some folks I guess.
Pelosi - OHMT
[ In Reply To ..]
You're right - I shouldn't have taken a personal jab at her. I don't like her as a human being and took a jab at her personal appearance because of her multiple Botox treatments. Thing is - she looks like she was a beautiful woman when she was younger. I just think the Botox is not appealing on her, especially since it leaves all the wrinkles and bags around her eyes. What's so wrong with growing old gracefully?

This is no excuse but I had a root canal yesterday and somehow making a stupid remark about her made me feel better about my pain.

I am not ugly inside but I am far from perfect. I know I have a long way to go. Perhaps I need to do a little personal inventory myself and discuss policies and procedures rather than insult someone.

Pretty interesting that a book with so much hype can be bought for $4.97 before it's officially "out." That price should generate some pretty hefty sales.

at such a small price unless they ordered TONS of these books in order to MAKE her book a "best seller"?

Either way, the poster stated he/she couldn't wait for the book to come out, and given that Newsmax is a conservative magazine, I thought I'd mention this.

Personally, I would never have noticed had I not looked after the Pelosi comment. If she has had Botox like the experts say, it's definitely not a bad job. I don't blame her. If I could afford it, I would do it too! :)
