I hope voters remember who represented us and who didn't, come 2016.
The vast majority of this country supported expanded background checks, and it's clear that we were not represented. The NRA, however, was clearly represented. It's a disgrace.

What that article doesn't reveal is that those senators - Truthhurts
[ In Reply To ..]voted for amendments that would have (1) INCREASED public safety by punishing and deterring firearms trafficking and by (2) addressing gun violence, improve the availability of records to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, address mental illness in the criminal justice system, and end straw purchases and trafficking of illegal firearms, and for other purposes.
The failure of some newspapers to not address the whole issue and, instead, just "rile" people up is beyond me. What are their intentions?
BTW, has Business Insider rallied against loopholes in the tax laws regarding registering companies in DE but have NO brick and mortar building there, so pay less taxes? I doubt it. Reason I ask is because the address for this newspaper is NYC, yet they are a registered corporation of DE.

Even Jeff Flake concedes he is less popular than pond scum. Pond scum is gold compared to Flake in light of the fact he wrote a letter to the mother of a victim of the Colorado movie theater massacre telling her he AGREED with background checks, then voted nay.
The article's intention was to report the approval rating drop as a reflection of the background check vote, reporting that that people were "riled up" because these Senators rejected this **specific** bill.
Delaware is a haven for companies to register - sm

I just took a look at Real Clear Politics and noticed that President Obama's job approval rating is overall +3.4 and Gallup has it at +11 for the past couple of days, and more people polled have approved of his job performance than have not for quite some time.
