I think that taxes are a small price for me to pay for my freedom in comparison to the price others ...have
already paid. I'm willing to pay more so that the price our veterans
have already paid will have been enough. Some people seem to have a
strange idea of what it means to have something taken from them and
given to someone else that hasn't earned it. None of us have earned the
lives of our soldiers gave for us, but we're all sure quick to accept
our American "entitlement" to that provided freedom. I'm willing to pay
more in taxes for others that aren't able or have just been less
fortunate because it's what I am able to do. So what will be the excuse
right wing conservatives and enraged Tea Party members give to justify
gladly taking what many of them haven't "earned".

I don't have a strange idea about anything. I hate that the government thinks that because I have a job and earn an okay living, I need to share it with someone who doesn't. I don't think so. You're too lazy to get off your butt and get a job - even a menial job - then that's your problem. Not mine. I am NOT willing to pay more taxes so someone can sit on their front porch and wait for the mailman. And don't automatically assume that I'm not charitable, because you have no idea about who I am. I just like knowing where my money goes and how it is used.

I think whoever wrote this and equated what is going on with Barry and his cronies and what an outstanding thing our military does is a little twisted.

Taxes do not buy you freedom. If certain people are willing to pay more taxes, then they should send in their check. To use the military to somehow further the liberal/progressives plan of taxing people more is the lowest of lows, and as a prior military it feels like I've been politically raped all to pass their agenda - more taxes. How dare this blogger use the military like that. The good people in the military lay their life on the line for all citizens to be free. Not so only the working people can pay more in taxes, to give to others that don't work (and a lot of them by choice). To dirty our finest soldiers good names for this is downright despicable. This shows the dangerous side of the liberal/progressive they will say anything and sacrifice anyone to push their agenda. This reminds me of that stupid chain letter I got about a lady in Indonesia who claims she is a Christian and is now going through chemotherapy and her husband placed 7 million dollars in a bank account and asked if I could write her a check for half of it and I could keep the rest. It aint gonna fly and neither is this piece of filth article. How dare they abuse the military in that fashion!!!

The only one with strange ideas are the people who think the way this blogger does. What's their plan that we should pay 85% in taxes. The gall of this writer to post such garbage. Looks like the only people who are normal are the ones who don't think in this sick and perverted manner.

Nothing makes me madder than a liberal/progressive who posts this garbage.

Summer is coming and we live in Florida where it is hot and rainy. My son was bored and I was too... so we found a movie theater locally which did not cost an arm and a leg. I took him to see Shrek 3-D and it was GREAT! Highly recommended. Got the car fixed - several things wrong with it - so hopefully fingers crossed it will make it through the winter. The whole winter. And there's another car here, so if worse came to worst, I could take that. A woman I met some weeks ago gave me a recipe for crustless pumpkin pie. I went on line and found one which varied somewhat from hers.
