After the liberation of Mosul, last stand for Christians in Iraq.

Posted: Jun 11, 2017

and now Christians from most parts of the Middle East means the termination of the historical Middle Eastern mosaic of peoples. The number of Christians in Iraq has decreased from 1.5 million 15 years ago to a couple of hundred thousand today. As the battle of Mosul comes to an end and Islamic State (ISIS) about to be defeated in Iraq, rapid action from the international community needs to be taken to safeguard the existence of Christians in the country. This is their last stand. The battle of Mosul, Iraq’s second city, is in its final stages. Predictions are that the city might be fully liberated before the end of Ramadan. While, due to a decade of persecution of “infidels” in Mosul, no Christians (Chaldeans/Syriacs/Assyrians) are expected to return to their homes in the city, there is still hope for the return of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees to the ancient Christian villages of the surrounding Nineveh Plains...;

being persecuted actually feel sorry for Western Christians because of our circumstances. The Western Left hates Christians.

That sounds morbid at first glance, but they are proving their faith daily. It’s actually amazing what is going on over there conversion-wise.

A simple Muslim father of 5 in northern Syria had his home destroyed 3 times (and rebuilt). His family sought help in the camps where Christian aid workers brought his children to the Lord. He saw the change, came to talk to a male counselor and he also became a Christian!

Stuff like this is happening a lot over there. I pray if severe diabolical persecution comes this way (which it’s starting to rear it’s head), that I’m brave enough to face it the way these precious people do.

Capitalist Christianity! - Y'all bought yourselves a Muslim

Mosul Falls: Iraqi Army Says Mosul Victory Jul 08, 2017
Earlier on Saturday, a military spokesman said the insurgents' defense lines were collapsing, state television reported. "We are seeing now the last meters (yards) and then final victory will be announced," a presenter said, citing correspondents embedded with security forces fighting in Islamic State's redoubt in the Old City by the Tigris. "It's a matter of hours," she added. ...

Maybe BO can negotiate with the terrorists overtaking Iraq and broker a deal to reduce our fuel prices. He didn't listen to all of the military opinions before his premature withdrawal and look what happened, just what many military experts predicted. Thanks, Mr. President, for undoing what was done. Also, Iraq was apparently recently begging the WH for military strikes against the terrorists, but he declined. I guess he was busy on the links that day. ...

Unexpected Effects Of Iraq WarMay 14, 2015
Here, I thought it was just bad, the waste of money, the waste of American lives, the waste of Iraqi lives, (not necessarily in order of importance), being lied to to get us there, but this, I did not know about.   This makes me even more disgusted with the Cheney/Rumsfeld war machine.      ...

From Mitch McConnell's home town newspaper. http://www.courier-journal.com/article/20101111/OPINION01/311110017 In his new memoir, Decision Points, the former president tells of a meeting he held in September 2006 with Mr. McConnell, then the Republican whip in the Senate. What About Iraq War Veterans Committing Suicide??? May 29, 2012
I just watched a TV documentary about new war veterans coming back from Iraq.  They say that every day at least 28 veterans are committing suicide.  This is truly shocking news.  I am wondering if their statistics are really accurate.  They say that only 33% are approved to receive PTSD benefits.  There is not enough money in their budget to approve all the claims.  I used to transcribe Veteran's health care reports and know that there are many mental heal ...

Watchdog Report: US Spent Too Much $ In IraqMar 07, 2013
I'm all for rebuilding after we've devestated a country, but there has to be a way to do it without wasting billions of dollars. Looking For Serious Answers From ChristiansOct 13, 2010
Hello,  I am wondering, having always had problems with faith, what the reason is that we cannot see God.  I have heard it said that this is because He wants us to have free will, but also the response to that being that we would still have free will as to whether or not we chose to worship Him and follow His laws, just as we have the option of whether or not we break the laws of man/society.  I guess that is something that has always held me back, the fact that I do not understa ...

Christians And YogaAug 18, 2013
I have an acquaintance who is a Christian. I recently started yoga classes because I have back problems and I think it will help. I mentioned this to my acquaintance, thinking maybe she would like to come along some time.  She then proceeded to tell me that I need to immediately stop the yoga because it will lead me down the path of meditation and then into Hindu religions.  She also said she won't be able to associate with me anymore if I continue with the yoga classes because I ...

Okay, so I just heard on the news that some food server who was gay was not given a tip by the customer because he was gay. The customer did say the service was fine, but he could not leave a tip due to the server being gay. Answer me this you Christians. Was that Christian of the customer? Iraqi ChristiansJul 24, 2014
I think there is so much happening in the world right now that no one is paying attention to the plight of the Iraqi Christians who have fled their homes in Mosul because of ISIS. A lot Iraqis living in the US are Chaldean and their people are still back there. It makes me sad that we are not hearing about this. These are good people being so mistreated. They were threatened by ISIS to convert to Islam or leave their homes or die. Nice choices, eh? ...

US Blackwater Lawsuit Signatures Sought By Iraq Jan 19, 2010
Iraq has begun collecting signatures for a class action lawsuit on behalf of people killed or wounded in incidents involving US security firm Blackwater. It will seek compensation for a number of such cases, the office of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said. Incidents include the 2007 killing of 17 Iraqis in Baghdad's Nisoor Square. Last month, a US judge dismissed charges against five Blackwater guards over those killings, which Iraqi officials described as "regrettable". Immediately ...
