You will all think I am crazy, but am having a difference of opinion with a good friend and would like to know what others say. Do you think Rod Stewart is handsome? I do. He (along with the Beatles and the Stones) was one of my faves back in the day. The other day I said that I thought Rod Stewart was handsome. My friend nearly choked on her coffee and said, "HANDSOME? You're crazy." What do you think? How would you classify Rod Stewart's looks?;

I do agree that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I have never beheld him as handsome. I find everything about him so objectionable I can't even listen to him on the radio!

But I just think he is handsome. I actually think he is better looking now than when he was a wild child in the Sixties. I like his "Great American Songbook." Strange, I had a crush on Mick Jagger way back in the day, now, not so much.

Honey let me tell ya. I am 57 years old. But back in the day, in the 70's, I saw him in concert 4 times. He was as sexy as they come and put on a great show.

he kind of looks like he has been embalmed or something. Back in the day, I thought Mick was really hot, now he just looks sad. I still think Rod looks handsome in a very unique way. In reading all of this, I think it is really silly that such an old lady (me) still likes rock and roll, but I do!

A few days ago I was watching Ozzy Osbourne on the TV, and I told my husband that how is it that Ozzy, who's around the same age as Jagger, Richards, etc., still looks so darned good in spite of all that infamous rough living, whilst the Stones look like they died about 20 years ago and are still walking around unembalmed, lol!

I know Ozzy had a facelift a few years ago but, IMO, he didn't need it. I thought he looked amazingly well for his age, especially with all of that hard living under his belt.

I guess maybe he just inherited a better draw in the familial gene pool than the Stones? I don't recall them being any harder at partying than Ozzy but those poor men just look horrid.

I had the pleasure of meeting him at a fundraising event in southern CA about 25 years ago. I never found him particularly attractive, but, FWIW, he was very gracious. And, sometimes having social charms and grace does make a person more attractive than a first impression. He seemed like a "regular" nice guy. Keep crushin' on him, lol!

In all my time in SoCal I have never met Rod Stewart or George Clooney, although either or them would certainly be welcome to drop in for a drink......(I did get to meet Woody Allen once, and although I do not have a crush on him, love his movies and think he's a genius.)

Have to share a funny story. When I was way, much younger and at that time attractive and single, I went to a restaurant in Hollywood with some friends. As I walked down the room to be seated I felt a man staring at me. I looked over and it was Rod Stewart. He winked and I blushed. As we were seated he kept flirting. I was young and innocent then and not at all flattered! I look back at it now and laugh.

I can't believe Rush can't find anything better to complain about than an awareness campaign regarding over 200 kidnapped girls. It was a South African activist who started this campaign (although the misinformed are claiming Michelle Obama started it) and these days, Twitter campaigns have played a leading role in spreading information in a world where people seem to have technology-induced ADD.
