This is so disturbing, it is hard to laugh about it. These same politicians who voted against Franken's bill are the same politicians who are against Pro-Choice. That's the party of "family values" for you!

The two issues have nothing to do with each other...and though it might pain you to think so, there are actually..GASP...Democrats who are pro life.

What these senators voted against was the government intervening in private contracts. What you fail to mention is Congress..yes, that's right, Democrats AND Republicans...passed the bill they are currently amending! So I guess that means Democrats were FOR rape before they were against it???

Why not tell the WHOLE story...just ONCE.

The vote was not about RAPE. It was about government intervention in private contracts. Frankly, if they had not passed the bill IN THE FIRST PLACE (both Democrats and Republicans), Halliburton could not have worded the contract the way they worded it, the contract that was in effect at the time the woman was raped.

I think the thing to do would have been to REPEAL the bill, not amend it, and that is a question I would be asking both parties as well.

Is it THAT hard to admit both are at fault? I guess it MUST be.
