Major Tax Refund Snafu! Need Advice.

I had always had my taxes done by H&R Block but decided to go with a local accounting firm in my city that has been in business for 30+ years because they were recommended and were less expensive. 

The person who prepared my taxes there seemed nice enough, but she kept laughing and saying how she was not a good typist.  She told me she had been in the business for 20 years.  She had my last year's return from H&R Block and asked if my bank routing number was still correct which it was.  Unlike H&R Block, they do not give you your paperwork when you leave, so I had no documents. I was told I would be called 3 days to pick them up.  This was on 4/15 and I STILL have not received my paperwork.

It has been one disaster after the next. First, I kept waiting for my state refund and it never came. State website said I was not due a refund. I called the office to find what was going on and was told "the state is screwed up, no rhyme or reason to when they send out refunds, blah blah blah."  After calling the office several more times I asked them to fax me the confirmation that my taxes were indeed e-filed.  Well, guess what, they were, but it has an incorrect address for me (off one digit) AND incorrect bank routing number.  I have no clue how she screwed it up so badly, it is not even close to my routing number.  To make a long story not so long, state refund check ended up being sent to someone down the street and he was kind enough to track me down and delivered it to me.  Federal refund has been deposited to a bank in Delaware (HSBC Bank) which I was able to track down by looking up routing numbers for banks. My bank is in Louisiana. 

Naturally I was very upset when I discovererd this last night. I called the accounting firm and left several messages.  I was told this morning that the lady who prepared my taxes would not be in until Wednesday, but that she is aware of the problem and will take care of it. 

My BF had his taxes done there a week after I did and has received both his state and fed refunds direct deposited.  Maybe she just didn't like me LOL

It is very hard for me to just sit here for another day with visions of someone having a heydey with the infusion of money into their checking account! I really needed this money to pay off medical bills that have been stacking up.  I thought of calling the bank in Delaware to see if there was anything they could do, but I doubt it just based on my word. Has this ever happened to anyone? What would you do in this situation?
