Wednesday at the White House daily briefing, CBS White House correspondent Major Garrett slammed White House press secretary Josh Earnest over the "optics" of President Barack Obama refusing to go to the U.S.-Mexico border in light of the humanitarian crisis of thousands of unaccompanied minors flooding across the border.
"With this on going humanitarian crisis and significant policy issue that is alarming people not only in Texas but obviously now places where you are trying to take these unaccompanied kids are you comfortable with the optics of the president going to fundraisers only and not taking an eyeball look himself at whats going on at the border?" Garrett asked.
