She has been in labor since last night, but no puppies yet.

[ In Reply To ..]Watched kittens being born by my mother's cat. She would lay there and her mouth would open and she would try to make a sound like one of pain, but nothing came out.
Watched our border collie give birth to some of her pups but had a knock on the door and by the time I got downstairs again, she had had another one.
I feel sorry for them. Most times, they don't make any noise of pain or anything like that.
Hope it is not much longer. How long has she been in labor so far?
If no sound came out, how do you know it was a - sound of pain?

She just looked it and she was so uncomfortable, both cat and dog were.

I think she may be ready to go soon. The caretaker was just wiping down her rear, and she is panting more heavily that I can see.
