I just found out about this Very Scary website. Go to spokeo.com and enter your name and see what it says about you. You can delete yourself by clicking on privacy and following the directions.

spokeo - is an aggregator site

it basically grabs info from other online sites and posts it all in one place. You can request that spokeo remove the info from their site, but that does not remove the info from all the other sites that spokeo has used to gain the info in the first place. They get this info from govt sites, facebook, myspace, zillow, etc. Much of it comes from social networking, so if you are truly worried about sites like this, then don't give out so much personal info and pics.

The very basic generic information it has on me is mostly incorrect because I never use my real info anywhere online. Not in email, not on forums, not in profiles. In fact, there is some information I know they got from certain other places because it is the bogus info I gave the other sites lol

The correct info it does have on me is public record. When I type in my unlisted phone number, it says "unknown."

Be prudent about what information you put out on the Internet, even sites you think are "safe" (nothing is safe or private on the Internet), and you don't have to worry about sites like this.

The only thing accurate on there was my name, address and phone which could be easily found from property tax records

There were also some crazy pics on there for me, none of which were me or my family.

AS I explored, I think Everybody has a million dollar house. Everybody likes to read and travel too. I was cheated out of my graduate degree too. It even said my white girlfriend is African American.

I live in a "below average neighborhood", according to the site, of course it only lists a P.O. Box for the address, which is incorrect-I have never had a P.O. Box, but it basically says that I live in the ghetto and 3000 miles from where I actually live.

I was wondering for those MTs who are in their late 50s, 60s and beyond, how much do you work a day/week? Are you able to work full-time sitting at a desk, or have you cut back on your work (not to include waiting for work or NJA for those that have this problem.) So, my MIL is 100% in her right mind and she is VERY attention-seeking lately. She has always been one to like to keep the pot stirred and get attention that way as well. She has a few medical problems, including a seizure disorder and she is always really good about taking her meds and such.
