Are you referring to Mike's board? I've known those guys since 1995 when we used newsgroups to communicate. If the avatar is of a black pug with my arm partially in the way, that's me.

I actually was born in Ohio, about half way between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. I just loved purple and my dad was a Vikes fan and they were good in the 70's so I became a Vikes fan. Never been to MN but I've seen them live twice at Foxboro, one in Canton (HOF game) and once at the Meadowlands (Jets).

He oozes self confidence without being cocky. After hating him for 16 years, even though I knew he was a HOF QB, it sure is nice being able to root for him and he's sooooooo easy on the eyes.

Curse the NFL. I cancelled my Sunday Ticket in protest of them letting Vick back in the league and the Vikes sign Favre. Oh well. The fee was getting outrageous as it was and Favre will bring more games to national TV, especially now that they're 8-1.

I don't know what I'm going to do when they let DUI murderer Donte Stallworth back in next year and "shoot myself in the leg" (hey moron, Glocks don't have normal safeties, don't pull them out by their triggers) Burress in the following year. I'm running out of things to ban for the NFL. I'm especially upset about Burress. I could excuse him more if he didn't already have a concealed carry license (his is from NJ). Since he does have one, he *should* have known better than someone who hasn't been thru the training. I have a CC license and I do carry sometimes. I keep my CC law book in my car so if I'm unsure, it's handy. He's just an idiot and makes the rest of us CC people look bad.

That's what makes it so nice to have such a clean cut guy like Favre. I loved Moon, Brad Johnson and Cunningham too and will never forget that sign a fan held up on MNF that said "We've shown you our Moon, now check out our Johnson".

One of these days I'll make it to see MN at home.

Wow, you sure do know your football don't you. I am always working full time and have other intersts besides football, though I do read the sports page.

It would be almost a full-time job just keeping up with the NFL stuff, the players, stats and the like. I used to like Cullpepper but he did not have the experience nor the confidence of Brett Favre. You are really good to pick up those 2nd and 3rd reads that Brett does, and Cullpepper did have that "deer in the headlights" look. I think Brett is just a "genuine" happy-go-lucky guy who enjoys the game of course but he is SO great about bolstering up his teammates and that inspires confidence in them. Sidney Rice is looking pretty darn good and what can I say about Jared Allen... the best isn't he.

When they first talked about acquiring Favre that was the talk of the town here on TV, newspapers, radio talk shows. Even Tarkenton had to weigh in. He thought it was a mistake but doubt he thinks that now. Tark was good though, as a leader, a scrambler, motivated.

This is the only forum or board I have seen you on, especially with your handle, vikesfan. Back to MTing for the day...

I'm mid 30s and this may sound a bit juvenile, but I LOVED the Twilight series. I could not stop reading them! I read when I get on the treadmill, so it worked great that I would want to read chapter after chapter. Someone recommended the True Blood series to me, but I couldn't really get into it. I watched this film on HBO last weekend. Somebody obviously does not like Sarah Palin!!! They certainly made her to appear very ignorant and stubborn with campaign manager, Steve Schmidt. Evidently John McCain did not like they way they portrayed Palin on film either. He says he does not plan on viewing this film, as it is an assault on her character.
