TWD fans, what do you think

of Fear the Walking Dead? I've been wanting to ask all of you at the end of season one, but thought it was way too soon. With the first part of season two behind us and the rest of it starting on the 21st, I would like to know what you think? It is supposed to take place about 3 weeks before Rick wakes up in the hospital, so things went into the crapper pretty fast. I do think they need a Daryl Dixon type.

I really want to like this show as much as I love TWD. To me, the characters are uninteresting, and the acting is atrocious. I feel like the actors are sleepwalking through their parts and show no emotion. One of the reasons why I love TWD so much is because I really care about all the characters and what happens to them, and I really am having a hard time "connecting" to the characters on Fear TWD.

Ugh, I was so looking forward to FTWD and what a huge letdown.

It's like watching a horribly written and horribly acted Lifetime movie.

I made it through about the first 3 episodes of season 1 and then stopped watching.

I find it just awful.

Agree that Fear TWD is poorly done. The characters/acting/writing do nothing for me. I loved Rick et al on TWD from episode 1 and never wavered in my feelings for the characters, etc. I feel that Fear TWD was probably done by AMC to try to replicate their best "cash cow."

I have LOVED TWD since day 1! Love all the characters. I think they make acting look incredibly easy, and read lots of articles where they get along so well, so that has to be a part of it. As far as FTWD, I don't like it, don't like the characters, they are cardboard. I only watch it to get a semi-fix while TWD is on hiatus or torture mode as we call it in our home. I put myself in their place, I have lost almost every normal way of life that I had, I can never return home, I don't know where my next meal is coming from and I have to worry about being eaten or killed by regular people every second of every day. I would not walk around normal, I would be a basket case, at least at first. Then once I dried my tears, squared my shoulders, and put away all the things I would never see again, I would become Carol or Michonne. LOL. LOVE TWD!

I'm glad to know it's not just me. It's almost like I'm still waiting for it to get going. I remember seeing the commercials for the original TWD before the series started, I like Sci-Fi, but zombies, take them or leave them. I wasn't sure if I would like it, but I had nothing better to do and 30 minutes in, I was hooked! It was the characters that reeled me in. It focused on the living and not the dead which surprised me a little bit. I've watched every episode of FTWD, but I still can't get into it. AMC doesn't run shows much past the 7th season, and I was thinking along the same line as Granny, FTWD is supposed to replace TWD and keep the money coming in. Robert Kirkman has a new show called "Outcast" and it's pretty bad too. I watched the first two episodes and that was only because it was Kirkman's, it was just so bad I couldn't watch anymore. I am really disappointed in FTWD, if it keeps going the way it has so far, there is no way it will keep the cash flowing at AMC.

I'm mid 30s and this may sound a bit juvenile, but I LOVED the Twilight series. I could not stop reading them! I read when I get on the treadmill, so it worked great that I would want to read chapter after chapter. Someone recommended the True Blood series to me, but I couldn't really get into it.
