Food Netword All Star Chopped

Posted: Apr 13, 2011

I lost track of time and forgot to watch the finale of the All Star Chopped where the judges were competing for their favorite Charity.  Does anyone know who won.  I cannot find anything.

I was rooting for Chef Anne also, she is a rockstar..anyway, it was Nate Appleman for the Kawasaki Disease foundation

Yes, Nate Appleman won. It was between him and Aaron Sanchez (my personal favorite.

Aaron's charity was the fund for the New Orleans seafood industry that was devastated by the BP oil spill. Aaron was chopped basically because his desert, a chocolate cake, was deemed to be "dry."

Nate Appleman was playing for the Kawasaki Disease charity because his young son suffered a bout of Kawasaki disease and an aortic aneurysm as result. Fortunately, his son has recovered, and as seen on the Chopped episode looks like a sweet, healthy little boy.

It was the guy who was playing for his son who had Kawasaki disease. I am not sure of his name. Hope that helps.

Thanks all, can't believe I missed it. I was hoping for Aaron Sanchez - but I also liked this guy too

I also like the blonde spikey hair lady. She is entertaining to watch. I loved the show The Worst Cook in America. I would have fit in great there because I am...bad cook.

I really wanted to see Alex compete. She seems to sit - cindy

on her high horse judging everyone but it would have been nice to see her compete, as well as Scott Conant!

I think they didn't realize how tough it was til they did it - sm

I find it enjoyable. That would be tough, especially with ingredients like they have.

I also like the Beverly Hills Chef, but haven't seen that in awhile.

I watch that too, but it has not need on in a while. My children love - watching food network with me.

Amidst internal dissent, George Soros’s shadowy political funding powerhouse is planning to execute a $200 million fundraising campaign this election cycle in order to benefit key groups pushing for a permanent radical left-wing Democrat majority. The billionaire members of the elite fundraising empire known as the Democracy Alliance have reportedly funneled $500 million or more into leftist and pro-Democrat organizations. The goal of the Alliance is to foster a permanent political infrastr ...

She's so busy, she'll be an RNC no-show, not willing to take a chance on being upstaged by Christie, Trump, Ryan and other party media magnets.  I think she made a wide choice when realizing she still has what it takes to draw in smaller-venue local crowds that are not typically of interest to lamestream media or cable reporters outside Fox and Friends circles.  How relieved she must be to have finally found her niche.     ...

I didn't know Beyonce could sing so incredibly well.  I was fortunate enough to catch the Inauguration at the gym...it was lovely (though it looked very cold there!), and the speeches were great.  The choir was amazing.  I was so proud to see our President mention "our gay brothers and sisters," right along with civil rights movements for minorities and women.  It is a beautiful day, and I am so proud to be an American! ...

As House and Senate Democrats press forward with their quest to destroy Donald Trump's presidency by any means necessary, they are simultaneously focused on finding someone in their ranks who could be an effective presidential candidate for their own party in 2020. Fifty-three-year-old Kamala Harris, who served as the Attorney General of California from 2011-16 and then filled the vacant U.S. Senate seat that had been occupied for a quarter-century by Barbara Boxer, is someone whom they wil ...

"Our votes have always been private, and neither of us has ever previously lent his name or voice to a presidential candidate. Having studied what is at stake for this country and the alternatives we have now, we see only one viable leader, and will be voting this November for Secretary Hillary Clinton." See link.   ...

Won't touch the 4Health or Taste of the Wild. So, we're done spending a fortune on dog food. We're going back to Beneful. It seems to be the only thing she likes. Cat With Possible Food Allergies?Apr 24, 2013
Does anyone have a cat with food allergies?  My white/tabby mix seems to always be itching but does not have fleas.  His white ears are frequently pink and warm and he scratches quite a bit.  Last night I noticed him licking his belly and it, too, was quite pink. We have been round and round with this kitty since we inherited him from my MIL.  He was always a puker and I have improved that condition with different food and hairball treats, but I'm wondering if the pukin ...

We started her on 4health and she didn't touch it the first day unless we put in 1/2 can of wet and veggies. The second day she ate it with no problem. She also seems to be 'full' after eating and isn't crying or whining. The next day, she didn't even touch her breakfast until after lun ...

About Picking Up Restautant Food And TipMay 10, 2010
We were talking at my office about picking up restautant food, and whether or not a tip is justified. Example, if you call in an order to a restaurant like Claim Jumper (citing an example a co-worker used) and you swing by to pick it up on the way home, would you tip? Technically, you're not in the restaurant and getting service. Typically, a tip is given due to the service provided by the waitstaff. I said maybe one would be justified if you stayed parked and they brought it to you. I usua ...
