What about Montana? - Old MT

Posted: Aug 29th, 2017 - 6:19 pm

While I do feel sorry for the people in TX and the flooding from the hurricane, why is is that the news media never seems to mention the fact that Montana is on fire everywhere.  People are losing their homes, farms, ranches, livestock, etc., and there is never a mention about that.  The smoke is so thick that you can't be outside for more than a few minutes or you will choke.  The weather people are saying it is going to be like this until the snow flies and puts out all the fires.  There are so many fires everywhere that they don't have enough manpower to work on them so they are just letting some of them burn.  There has not been any rain here in months and everything is drying up or burning up.  Of course, the tree-huggers file a lawsuit stopping any kind of logging on all the dead trees, which just adds to the fuel for all the fires.  The forests should have been thinned of all the dead beetle-killed trees years ago, but all the bleeding hearts want everything to be left "natural."  There won't be anything left of any of the forests the way the fires are burning, not to mention people losing everything they worked so hard for all their lives.  This is like living in hell.
