I too live in Montana and it is the worst I have ever seen it. Friends in the Helena area sent pictures this morning and literally there was nothing to see, but smoke..Mount Helena was obliterated. I thankfully live in an area near the Yaak that does not have an active fire, praying for zero lightning.
As stated in Old Mt's post logging needs to be done, not clear cut, but responsible logging that allows the forests to flourish.
