These are big contributors to fires, homes being built where they were never meant to be built, low snow pack in the mountains every year, no rain, there are so many factors that contribute. If this is your first experience with local fires, you are lucky, it's a way of life for us every summer. As far as getting it on the news, maybe you should contact your local network affiliate for some coverage. Good luck and stay safe out there.
