need prayer for my daughter's sleep hygiene

I need prayer for my 17 year-old daughter. she has been struggling with sleep issues, possible anxiety related, we have taken her to get all different blood tests. They find nothing wrong. She was in stress-filled IB program in high school and she would worry the night before about how she would do on a test or if an assignment was completed or not. She lived through this for a year and a half and then quit. She is still struggling with the after effects. Please pray for this condition to resolve. She has her whole life ahead of her. I raise up my voice to the Almighty One and begging for his Almighty touch of healing. She is still pursuing school at home.

[ In Reply To ..]Bless her heart. I am 41 and I tell people I've not slept since high school. Having a newborn baby was no problem because I was up anyway. It's a very depressing, scary, sad situation because there's nothing you can do. I've tried melatonin in huge doses. It does nothing. Might as well have had a pot of coffee. I've tried Ambien. Nothing. Tossed and turned all night. Lack of sleep makes you look old fast. I pray she will get past this and get some rest soon. My memory is affected and my ability to learn now because it has gone on for so long but the doctors don't seem to take it seriously.

[ In Reply To ..]I don't know if she has insurance that will cover it, but that could identify the problem causing the insomnia. I was an insomniac my whole life until a brain aneurysm solved it for me. I had a sleep study and was diagnosed with "phase shift insomnia" where the brain chemicals that induce drowsiness that are supposed to be higher before bedtime took an additional 3 hours before they worked on me. At that time (40 years ago) They didn't have a cure and I just had to live with it. Very hard to maintain a schedule with this insomnia, frequently not sleeping at all before going to work. I think it would be worth talking to a doctor about supplements that could replace the natural brain chemicals. They must have something by now. I was also not affected by melatonin and had to use alcohol to sleep. One thing you might want to try is a sleep tape. You can search for these online. They talk you to sleep, having you concentrate on each body part and relaxing it.
I hope for the best for your daughter. I know how rough this is.

This is a wonderful opportunity for them to live a decent life but their credit isn't great. Hopefully the owner will rent to them based on ability to pay now and not look into past credit history from troubled times. The kids are so excited.
