Prayers for my friend requested

My friend had her annual mammogram a few days ago, and she received a call to come back. Yesterday they did additional films and an ultrasound. The radiologist told my friend the mass is definitely not a cyst, but is solid. She was recommended an ultrasounded needle biopsy. Today I offered to go with her, and I was present for the procedure. The radiologist present pointed the mass out to me on ultrasound. It appeared black, and larger than I was expecting. My friend is to have the results later this week. I would appreciate your prayers for my friend, Joyce. Many thanks. ;

I pray He will be with Joyce right now as she turns to Him during this hard time she is going through. I pray she will have the peace that passes all understanding that only He can give. A little history - Christine
[ In Reply To ..]Joyce and I have been friends for many, many years. Her mother and my mother were best friends as well. Both have passed now. Joyce has done so much for me, and when she called me a few days ago to tell me the findings on mammography and ultrasound I knew what I had to do. After the procedure we went out to breakfast and talked and laughed, and we remembered things from the past. Her father was one of my best friends.
I want to thank everyone for their prayers and best wishes for Joyce. She is to call Thursday morning at 9:30 for results. The radiologist said if the results were not back yet, it may take a week.
Porcher, your post brought tears to my eyes. I felt the sincerity and faith behind your words.

I have also been through a biopsy and surgery to remove a mass, a spindle cell tumor as a matter of fact. The whole ordeal is scary because the only thing on your mind is the worst case scenario.
After what I have went through, I encourage any woman out there to do self breast exams at least once a month. If you find something, dont be afraid to have it checked out. It could save your life.
