Prayers for friend

Not a good time for my friend. Her sister-in-law had a hysterectomy and developed MRSA. She is a TERRIFIC amount of pain and it seems the doctor who performed the surgery and the hospital don't really care. I told them to try the patient advocate.
Now, more stress. Last night, my friend's family in St. Louis were struck with the most horrible thing. They were at a park and got into a disagreement with another family. They loaded up in their van and left the scene. Unfortunately, the other family followed them. They pulled up and opened fire. A 15-year-old boy and a 69-year-old man were shot inside the van and survived. A 5-year-old shot has died. Who kills a 5-year-old? My heart is heavy while I sit her wodering why this happened.
As of 11 a.m., they have no leads. I am hoping/praying that whoever did this is losing sleep and feeling misearble. Doubt that they will come forward. This is just so messed up.
They went for a family outing on a beautiful day and ended up the worst day of their life. Lliving with what if's now.

[ In Reply To ..]I am dealing with some major stress as well. Fiance went for physical last week. Doctor said his lungs were working hard. Ordered an x-ray and saw a mass in the lung. CT scan on Monday and go from there. He spent 15 years in a steel mill working with asbestosis and now works around ammonia. I fear the outcome. I don't tell him what the worst could be. Hoping it is not life threatening. I don't want to project my fear onto him. Trying to stay strong. Cry while he is at work.

[ In Reply To ..]Anon, those are some pretty heavy burdens for a person to be carrying. I know one thing, God is the burden lifter. When I read your posts, it brought tears to my eyes to hear of all those things. I earnestly prayed for you, your fiance, your friend, her sister in law, and the family who was in the horrific tragedy. Let your faith be what guides your friends and family through all this. I know it's hard because we see with natural eyes, but look to the Word and what He says and keep on asking, seeking, and knocking and of course leaning on Jesus. And even when it seems like faith is gone, if you can just get one hand up to praise Him (so to speak), He will lift you even if all you can do is a whisper. In other words, keep your hope in Him. God bless you and your family and friends. Keep us posted and know you have my support through Christ in continued prayer.

What a sad time for everyone involved. This world has no shortage of evil, but God can turn the most evil thing into good for those who love Him.
