Just requested a scholarship application...for a painting class

I have a "cute litle job" - at a day care center. But I still feel it's a complete waste of time - I could be learning to paint. My one grandmother was a frustrated artist (she wanted to go to art school, but had to drop out after her mother died, to raise her younger siblings), and my other grandmother was frustrated because she had to drop out in the 6th grade to work in the family store.
And then there's my mom.........
Then there's me...what the heck, why not? Can't one of us "go to art school?" I mean seriously....I put my time in, in front of the computer (being an MT). I want to liberate the painter within. I actually have things I want to paint! Not just landscapes or fruit on a tablecloth. I have things to paint, places to go, people to see!
Anyway, just thought I'd share. We'll see what happens.
