An article based on an excerpt from another book in a long line of tabloid trash from Edward Klein, the guy who insinuated in 2005 in his book 'The Truth About Hillary' that Hillary Clinton is a lesbian who was raped by Bill Clinton and conceived her daughter Chelsea. Even conservatives widely denounced that book.

In different books attempting to disparage the Obamas, Clintons, Kennedys, and others, Klein has repeatedly questioned Hillary Clinton’s sexual orientation, and he has similarly disparaged Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, Jackie Kennedy, and Katie Couric, leading the Washington Post to comment that Edward Klein "has made a second career of leaving knuckle prints on famous women."

In my opinion he writes tabloid trash, and conservatives want to believe it and keep paying for it so he just keeps serving the garbage up and has very little trouble separating conservatives from their money.

The First Amendment of the Constitution protects slime like this. They merely use words such as, "we hear from sources that Oprah Winfrey said __________," and they follow that with whatever lie they wish to print. Add to that, Oprah Winfrey is a celebrity/public figure and is fair game in the press. Now, if this tabloid reporter said you or I made those comments, we could sue him into the poorhouse because we are not celebrities or public figures. We still have an uphill battle proving our case because the defense will usually be something along the lines of, "but I have sources that reported this information to me, and I have a constitutional right to report it."

This type of tabloid trash is protected by the First Amendment, and the public is left to decide the truth for themselves. Edward Klein's supposed expose books from 2010 and 2012 on Barack Obama where he states that Obama is a secret Muslim born in Kenya, etc., and all kinds of crazy things about Michelle Obama, have served as nothing more than fictional red meat to fan the flames of misinformation to the right wing but have done nothing to harm his reelection. This latest combined attack on the Clintons and Obamas is likely to be nothing more than a money maker for him because most people ignore this type tabloid trash and don't give it credence, including many conservatives.

Smart people do not make statements that would put them at odds. Oprah is a billionaire and is not stupid. Someone is either outright lying or twisting words to suit an agenda.

I think she is a down-to-earth person who grew up poor and is having a great time but never forgetting what is was like to have nothing. In spite of her poor upbringing she made the best of herself, got an education and enjoys her life, her husband and her children.
