Canadian police announced earlier Thursday that the common-law partner of a man facing charges in a G-20 security investigation has been charged with explosives offenses. Those cases did not appear to be related to the arrest Thursday afternoon.
Byron Sonne, 37, was arrested Tuesday and faces several charges including possession of explosives, weapons dangerous, intimidating a justice system participant and mischief. His partner, 370-year-old Kristen Peterson has been charged with possession of an explosive device and possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose.
