The debt generation

Now these are smart kids. Good video that just tells it like it is.

It's too bad these youngsters were not of voting age (or even the age of consent) when GW Bush was elected. It's also too bad that these youngsters are regurgitating the rhetoric of their parents (the "shove down the throat" remark is endemic in certain circles).
It's also too bad that the statistics of Mr. Bush's administration DID NOT include the cost of the war in Iraq. Try to remember - this was the first war in history that was NOT financed by an increase in taxes. The war was financed on credit. It's a shame that so many people agree to forget this fact.
You would have a good point if Bush were the one running - for reelection.

Besides, I don't hear too many on this board (if any) going on about what a great president Bush was, including the republicans.
disagree - ...

The point of the video posted was to impugn Obama's handling of the economy. The debt we are saddled with has little to do with Obama and lots to do with Mr. Bush. Your point is lost on me.
I happen to believe that holding up uninformed children to parrot their parents smacks of totalitarianism.
Oh, OK. You think Obama has done a good job - with the economy.
You mean like the creepy Obama kids singing praises to him - their parents drilled into them
[ In Reply To ..]
The ones chanting his name over and over not knowing what they are saying but having their uninformed parents forcing them to sing the mantra, like the youths did in Germany.
Looks to me you don't like people speaking out if it is negative even when its the truth.
These young adults are well informed. They understand the issues they are facing more than a lot of posters on this board.
insulting CHILDREN - how tacky

You know not what was in their hearts or minds. Despicable comment. Have you no humanity at ALL? The right has no bottom to their depravity. Sickening.
No, the insult was on the parents - Purposely distorting my post - Now THATS tacky
[ In Reply To ..]
Creepy refers the mantra/chant sung over and over and over used as brainwashing technique. Since you didn't read my post and just preferred to attack: "...having their uninformed parents forcing them to sing the mantra..."
No insults on children there - but then again you already knew that. The left has no bottom to their depravity. Sickening.
Creepy children - check you Strunk and

White regarding adjectives. Disgusting. Why do we have a bullying problem in this country? Hmmm? Adults like this.
Creepy children - check you Strunk and - Bullying fits you to a tee..
sentence structure does not support yr claim - of victimhood
[ In Reply To ..]
Unless you no speaka the Inglish and are ESL. you can always use Newt's statement about "anyone who quotes what I said yesterday is a liar" (paraphrased).
I'm not a lib - therefore I don't scream victim - Now THATS tacky
[ In Reply To ..]
ya'll can make up whatever you want to. Funny thing is ya'll are trying to say something I obviously did not say and you know it. Definite lib tactic as seen on this board many times.
And, no, nothing in my posts even remotely comes a fraction close to "victimhood", but then again you know that. Besides, libs got the market on screaming victim (i.e. read the post I replied to).
When ya'll can get a grip and come back to reality and have an adult conversation I'll be here. Otherwise, nothing else to say to ya. So go ahead and flames, scream and lie all ya'll want. I'm outta here.
bu-bye.
The left has no bottom to their depravity - Direct lib quote

Boy - did you have to reach to put a spin on this with the fake moral outrage over the children. That is EXACTLY what happened in Germany. Too bad your are so clueless with your "despicable comments, depravity...sickweninkg:.
insulting CHILDREN - how tacky - Speaking of tacky - describes your spin...
then we agree - children should not be used as tools - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I don't care which side of the aisle does it. Children should not be used as tools.
Once again - this is not about Bush - what if - sm

This is a generalized statement not to any one poster in particular.
These young adults are not talking about Bush. Bush is not running. I'm sure there were kids like this saying this when Bush was running. But this right now, here and now, is not about Bush. They are talking about Obama. The current president. The one who promised them everything and gave them nothing, or if he did give them anything it wasn't for free. They are talking about how his term has affected them. NOT BUSH!
Anytime something bad comes out about Obama everyone comes out with Bush this or Bush that or what if Bush this, or that. They never address the problems we are having now or will take any part of the blame.
Stop making what is Obama fault into something about Bush. For once in your lives people admit that he has not made life better or given the promises he did. He is not perfect, he is not a god, he cannot part the water and if he tries and it doesn't work it's not because of Bush.
Shame on all you blindless followers that cannot even have the decency to see things for what they are and purposely try and discredit other people so your guy looks good. Shame on you for knowing its wrong, but purposely coming on trying to discredit everyone in the whole country except Obama (when it's his fault).
If you want to talk about mistakes Bush made we can start plenty of threads because there is plenty to discuss about his term as president, but this thread is NOT ABOUT BUSH.
There - go ahead and flame away. Go ahead and try to justify how when teenagers of voting age and have felt the broken promises, know how negatively this administration has affected their lives, how when they talk about it happening with a democrat president how instead they should always blame a republican. In fact no one in particular, the closest republican will do for you all.
Cmon people - get a grip!
fake lib outrage - ...

Hooting and hollering stating they think any repub/indy/conservative doesn't care about the poor...yeah right, take a look at what their socialist "leaders" gave to the poor and continues to steal from the poor. Bottom line is, those screaming the loudest supposedly for the poor, are the laziest ones screaming for themselves because they are too lazy to work for what they want, and want everyone else to pay their way. These libs use the poor as a smoke screen to hide their true self-serving, selfish motives. Then when someone stands up to them, they squeal like pigs to deflect the attention from their selfish motivations.
you are responding to someone who agrees with you - nm
Well aware of what I was referring to - Clearly you do not

Try reading the whole post agreeing with the poster and why. GEEESSS - get a life!
once again - this is about the economy...

With regard to the economy and the "debt generation", the point is this: "the statistics of Mr. Bush's administration DID NOT include the cost of the war in Iraq".

... Raising The Debt Limit. A Little Bit Of HistoryApr 14, 2011 After World War II ended, the debt limit was reduced to $275 billion. Because the Korean War was mostly financed by higher taxes rather than by increased debt, the limit remained at $275 billion until 1954. After 1954, the debt limit was reduced twice and increased seven times, until March 1962 when it again reached $300 billion, its level at the end of World War II. Since March 1962, Congress has enacted 74 separate measures that have altered the limit on federal debt.
