Around 10,000 state militia forces have been deployed in the face of planned demonstrations in support of the revolution in Egypt. Internet has slowed to a crawl and there has been government interference in cell phone services and tweets. Opposition organizers have been arrested, phone lines at Mousavis house have been cut and street access to his residence barracaded. Meanwhile, the US State Department has set up a Farsi Twitter account.

These demonstrations were called in support of Egypt and Tunisia, and initially were not aimed directly at the regime. If they choose to try and execute the opposition leaders, they will be in for a big surprise. Crackdown on technological and press outlets will greatly impede organizing further actions, but where theres a will, theres a way, as they say.
