Still think the Repubs are not just using obstruction

Posted: Dec 29, 2009

It was all part of the plan.  The attempts at bipartisan health care reform very deliberately obstructed by the republicans.  They planned well ahead of time to not work with the president with the specific intention of taking down the president and the next election-and this was more important to them than actually working on behalf of the people to bring about good health care reform~and they still are at it!  To h**l with the people, we need to do whatever we can, no matter how many Americans suffer and die, so we can win in 2012!

THIS HEALTH CARE REFORM BILL IS A DISASTER... TOTAL DISASTER! If you ever bother reading into some of it, you might not be so blind. Obama just wants something as a label for his "legacy" as president. You actually think he cares about us? Guess so, but I do not. He is a politician and swindler. He and his clan bribed enough senators to get the needed votes. So, bribes are determining our future health care. Are you proud? How pathetic !

What about Lieberman? Three months ago (sm) - Nikki

Lieberman was in favor of a Medicare buy-in for people 55 and older.

Now, he isn't.

Talk about someone who can't make up his mind...

Yeah? So? This topic was not about him at all. - mtt22

It's another example of the obstructionism. I happen to agree (sm) - Nikki

with the article.

Lieberman's flip-flopping shows he's just another obstructionist.
Wrong! Lieberman has always shown to go his - own way. The other guy switches

when convenient. Spector is becoming a joke. His credibility is pretty much shot. .. and as far as obstructionism, Lieberman was not allowed to continue speaking on the Senate floor when asked for more time. There is an example of obstructionism.

It's been evident in their actions and words ("Obama's-sm) - Nikki

Waterloo"), which give support to Specter's claim. I happen to believe Specter, given what I've seen their reported actions to have been.

You believe Specter because it goes along with - your conspiracy theories.nm

has been happening. No conspiracy, just a perfect description that backs up what is painfully obvious. The repubs currently in office have been in total and complete lockstep from the moment President Obama was elected, even when it meant switching opinions. I see a lot of that on his board so obviously it is contagious.

and we should trust him because??? - cj

he ran as a republican, he was elected by people who thought he was a republican and after they elected him again he changed his mind and returned to the democratic party, where he had been once before??? Yup, this is a guy who cares so much about the people that he is supposed to represent that he would change his party affiliation away from the people who elected him. I would have a little trouble trusting that.

Yep. He switches parties when he thinks he's going to - Backwards Typist

have trouble getting re-elected. No matter what he says, he switches to the party that he thinks is going to hold the power.

I used to vote for him. HA! No more. He's been too indecisive in the past couple years.

He learned that from Lieberman, who did it first. (nm) - Nikki

You are right. I stand corrected. Thank you. (sm) - Nikki

I made a mistake. Thanks for correcting me. I just learned something. Smile

not to mention.....(forgot to say) - cj

He has now betrayed the confidences of the party to which he used to belong. This man will say anything and do anything to keep himself in office, and it has nothing to do with caring about any one but himself.
