Sort of like deciding whether to attend the visitation or making the home visit to a close friend.

That trouncing down the street in solidarity was a show for the world, with little meaning. It might have been reassuring for the French, but the U.S. lack of participation or to what degree didn't affect the average person on the street. The government recognized what was important and those concerns have been addressed appropriately by John Kerry. Headline made me smile, when it mentioned his fluent French. Perfect. Just perfect.

The news cycle took off on this because they could, once again. They really need to find better cues.

that tore the nation apart, another hundred years of bloody, deadly struggles for equality and basic civil rights after emancipation, institutionalized and cultural discrimination, ensuing decades of regressive political assaults time and again on gains made along the way, and how Ferguson law enforcement (and the so-called legal system) handled themselves contributed to no-justice-no-peace sentiment had something to do with it? Gee, I wonder.

Oh, I almost forgot. Equality under the law is not just a "racial" issue. It's as American as it can be, for any human rights activist (a group that includes millions of whites) and all those who historically have been subjected to discrimination based on gender and gender identity, religion, ethnicity, age, physical or mental capacity, even economic status. If there is any doubt, I'd suggest all Constitutional purists should review the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 19th, 24th, and 26th Amendments....not to mention major legislation with bipartisan support that has been upheld by SCOTUS. To the dismay of many, we have yet to ratify an amendment that simply guarantees women equal rights under the law, so yes, it is definitely a work in progress and a perfectly legitimate concept for any party or party leader to visibly support, anytime, anyplace.

What do you mean we don't gather with the other leaders who are showing their working together. John Kerry of all people being sent there and after the fact for the US is disgusting. I remember well John Kerry back during Vietnam when he said he got an injury and it was a ridiculous one on his hind quarters. That is what John Kerry is. He has married into money more than once, and now he is parading around like he is someone. He is nothing but a liar and more, disgusting just like obama. These people do not care about anything or anyone. They would not lift never agree with Israel, Germany, France, or any country working together because you know why, they believe if you tickle the terrorist's chin that he will like them. What absolute fools and con artists. It never ceases to amaze me how utterly foolish people are who believe in this administration and with John Kerry, the big liar along with Hillbilly Clinton, holder, sharpton, "Oafra" and the like. What in the world can you mean this is the way to do anything? It just shows the arrogance of the administration to NOT go along with unity AGAINST terrorists.
