Republicans are trapped by Christian

The problem for Republicans is that they seem to believe that God is on their side, so they believe they are above the law. Their religious beliefs are above the law. Is this not the same argument they have been making about Muslims imposing Sharia Law? It is. The Republican candidates need to come out strong against the Duggar actions. They need to disown them, cut them off and be rid of this pariah, both politically and morally. Huckabee has kissed his candidacy "Good Bye." The others need to take a stand. The actual incident in and of itself is disgusting, but the stance of individual Republicans could be a deal breaker for any outside of the far, far right Republicans. Some are sort of, well gays aren't exactly acceptable to them, they don't really care if they are excluded/persecuted, whatever, but child abuse and molestation and some of the explanations and acceptance of these incidents have heads spinning. I see a lot of moderate sorts suggesting that Josh Duggar's children should be taken by DFS and I don't think "kindred care" is going to be acceptable either.;

As soon as Dems disown Clintons - and for equally - disgusting behavior.

In fact, Dems should do so sooner and louder than the Republicans, because the Duggars don't represent the Republican party in any way even close to the way the Clintons do the Democrat party.

Duggar was only positioned to harm the children who were in his immediate sphere of influence, but the Clintons have wreaked havoc on THE ENTIRE NATION, not just the children but the adults as well.

Just like it's unfair that all Catholics have to answer for a few priests that act this way. But there is something extra annoying about evangelical Republicans with their "holier than thou" moral attitudes refusing to take proper responsibility for immoral behavior.

As for Josh Duggar, I think his parents should've had HIM removed from the home years ago and he should be kept from anywhere around children without objective court supervision, because statistically, pedophilia isn't curable and doesn't just "go away."

However, they don't know what causes it, just like sociopaths/psychopaths. Those things do tend to occur more in bad home environments and as the result of bad parenting or victims of childhood sexual abuse themselves, but there have been enough cases of sociopaths/psychopaths that come from good homes now to make us question that theory, too, so we just don't know.

But we really don't care what happens to Josh Duggar or his parents or the politicians who refuse to condemn the behavior to the degree they really need to, at this point - we just want children safe - and the best way to ensure that is to make sure Josh Duggar is far away from them, unless there is objective supervision at all times.

I do think that in recent years, the powers that be in the party tend to use religion to manipulate voters, though.
